This was a very lovely stay in a historic and wonderfully located spot. Simple was exactly what I was looking for so the fact that there was no refrigerator or television was perfect. I was able to walk all over the city from this location, the staff were great, everything was sparkling clean, and it had lots of charm. The price was pretty amazing. I would come here again!

This is a 101 year old building, it makes noise, it has finnicky taps but its also charming. Solo traveller, female, I felt safe indoors. Outside too, but thats on you. Janita is amazing, very welcoming and helpful. The place has an upmarket backpackers vibe to it. If thats your vibe, you'll like it. If not, stay somewhere with a few more mod cons. My room was clean, there's loads of space to unpack with a walkin wardobe! Theres no tv. microwave, fridge, milk, plug for the bath to soak in after walking all day. The bed & linen is really really comfortable, although I could not figure out if thats a top sheet or the only sheet. The shower was wonderful, I slept soundly almost most nights. You can hear through the walls and ceilings. There is an official quiet time for noise reduction. No housekeeping unless I asked even though I was there a week. It was done quickly though when I asked. The room has an oversized desk in it with an awful uncomfortable office chair that takes up all the space. It has an unstable back so if I leaned back I'd fall. I would much prefer a small table and chairs to eat at & a small armchair to read in near the radiator. The location is perfect for walking everywhere and food all hours, just keep your wits about you if you turn left outside. Trader Joes Nob Hill a few minutes walk away, Cup of Joy across the road & yes you can stumble back from Li Po & get pizza, on foot. The price is amazing and you're getting just what you pay for.

Staff was nice and helpful. Be aware you will need to download an app to use as your room key. You also need your we code to unlock the front door. Our app was t working so we had to request a physical key card. Rooms and bathrooms are not updated but are fine

The staff were really helpful upon arrival and were friendly throughout the stay. Having the key on my phone was a lot less stressful and easier than having to always remember to bring a room key with you (although I wish the lobby door and room door worked from the same app). The room was excpetionally clean and was cleaned pretty regularly throughout the stay. Only thing to be mindful of is the fact that the building is pretty old so things like shower pressure and sound proofing arent the best.
