The was an amazing experience. They did everything right. Yes - they took the bones of an old hotel and gave it new life, and they did a fantastic job. The reception, bars, restaurant and rooms were beautifully done and finding the speak easy was a blast (and super cute too). I wasn't sure what to expect initially, but this hotel exceeded all of my expectations. Highly recommend!

Our stay at The Trail Hotel was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome with their friendliness and exceptional service. The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully maintained, making it easy to relax and enjoy our stay. The food was another highlight—every meal was delicious and exceeded our expectations. It’s clear that great care is taken in every aspect of the guest experience. We did not pre-book at The Trail, but we were glad to get a room there. The rooms were tastefully redone, keeping with the bourbon trail theme. The onsite restaurant and bar was nice. My only complaint was access to our room was not easy to navigate. With lots of luggage you had to go in and out of several outside doors to get to our room. We weren’t the only ones having a difficult time finding our room. Besides that, this is a great hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The pool was large and the patio was nicely decorated. We had a good meal and great cocktails in the bar/restaurant. The Trail Hotel is located just out of town, so it was easy to drive to downtown Bardstown or take a taxi. The room was quiet, and the bed was comfortable. We will devinitely come back again!

Loved it and excited to come back next year! The decor and details were on point. The food is incredible and the drinks are spectacular. Cards or games and music could be nice in the Lounge across from the Bourbon Alley for another place to hang out there.

The entire stay was wonderful and the property was very nice. We had dinner and drinks in the restaurant. The pasta was tasty but the Caesar salad was not worth the cost. The Old Fashioned was perfect. Would definitely stay again.

We returned for the second time in just seven months, and the moment you step inside, you remember why. From the moment you walk in, everything feels amazing, the service, the amenities, the atmosphere, even the way the hotel smells. The ambiance is upscale yet relaxing and cozy; the kind of place where you can unwind over exceptional food and truly great whiskey. The speakeasy is a must visit, and Keaton made the night. He’s smart, funny, welcoming, and incredibly talented. He is the kind of bartender who turns a drink into an experience. He made our visit unforgettable. The location couldn’t be better, close to the distilleries and the charm of downtown Bardstown. I’m already looking forward to going back.
