Cannot beat the location being oceanfront! Literally 5mins from MYR airport, centrally located for trips to CCU, Myrtle, Surside and Pawleys. Room was clean. Coffee and juice free to guests each morning in the lobby. Check-in was easy and staff was friendly. Pools were clean and warm. Plenty of parking and easy access to the beach with a ramp directly connected to the pool area.We did not try the pizza restaurant so cannot comment on that. Overall, nothing too fancy but a pleasant day.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was updated and clean. The outer hallways could use a little bit of updating, but they weren’t that bad. It seemed like we were right on top of the ocean. The views were beautiful. The pools were well maintained and clean. There was no riff raff in the area of the hotel and that’s definitely unique in that area. It was a short car distance from the activities and we were even able to go see fireworks at 2nd Avenue Pier. Will definitely go again.

Had an ocean view room. It was nice. Immediate access to the beach. Staff was super friendly. Parking lot a little small but it does have an overflow across the street. You are required to pay $150 security deposit by cash or credit card. I did cash and got it back at checkout. Only downfall, it only has one elevator. The hallway is hot but the room was perfectly cool. Overall, we had a marvelous stay. Enjoy the beach.

The Staff are friendly, the hotel has 2 pools and a hot tub The Room was nice and came with a balcony. Beds and pillows are a bit uncomfortable they felt too stiff for my liking, the water from the shower head is pretty weak even at max.But overall i had a good experience. Definitely recommend this hotel for a budget friendly option

For a budget hotel right on the beach, Tropical Sea hotel was a good stay for 2 nights. The room itself was tidy. Beds were a little firm but slept well enough and had clean sheets with no signs of bugs. It has two pools and a hot tub, all of which were functional and clean during our stay. And it was quiet, the sound proofing in our room, a partial view, was quite good. If I had to leave a criticism, it would be that the elevator can be very slow at times, but it always came around eventually. The staff we interacted with were pleasant. They have complimentary coffee available in the morning. And there is a Waffle house about a 10 minute walk away if you want breakfast nearby. Would stay again if I need another budget friendly stay in the area.

Well, friends, when they say pet friendly, they only mean dogs do not bring a cat. I had one they didn't go well but other than that. It was amazing and the fact that you can't smoke in your room. That was the only bad thing is, you could not even smoke on the balcony while looking at the waves because of idiots that can't control themselves doing stupid stuff on the battery. So now\nWhat would be fun has almond took away

This maybe an old hotel but... the views are in credible (if you get an ocean front room) they have 2 outdoor pools and an hot tub, just steps away from the beach. The elevator is very sloooow, there are stairs. Shower no tub. We would come back and stay again.

Would definitely stay again. Check in was quick. Staff great. Location was great! The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. Probably go a little earlier in the season. Beach was pretty crowded. Damon’s restaurant is within walking distance and very delicious food.
