Vijay and Emma are newer owners of this hidden gem. The entire property has been upgraded. Immaculate, fresh bed linens and towels, washcloths etc. Also, my room had a refrigerator which I did not anticipate. That was definitely a plus!

Bernardston, Mass. is a tiny hamlet in Western Mass. near Greenfield 9 miles from my son's family, his wife and my grandchildren reside. The Inn where I normally stay was closed so I sought a new place to stay for a week while visiting them. What a total surprise, what a total pleasure. This is a cozy 12 room motel, recently under new ownership and recently renovtated. The owner is delightul, attentive, incredibly service oriented, gracious and the room was spotless, spacious, and I spent a week in total comfort. I have every intention of continuing my stays there whenever I visit which is frequent. The resort is in close proximity to the small town of Turners Falls, it's country and then some, the Connecticut river flows nearby, rolling hills dotted with cattle farms and the community boasts amazing theater and arts. If you are looking for a family friendly, comfortable place to stay whether for an overnight or an extended stay I cannot recommend the Windmill Resort highly enough.

Very well renovated motel, nice looking room, new bathroom fixtures. Good locaition off of I-91, small grocery in Northfield 5 miles away. Definitely recommend it, only lacks food/groceries nearby (looks like their restaurant is in the process of renovation though).

Recently renovated, so for the price it was a great deal. I had a quiet room with a big tv and several streaming services to choose from at no additional cost. The owners were very kind and helpful, I wish them the best of luck in their new endeavor.

room 'rustic' style. clean. single room w one queen bed was on the small side, adequate for overnight stay for two. very economical esp. compared with local options. shower hot/cold adjustment slower than normal. heat in bathroom fine. unit in main room kept turning on and off and quite loud. we would stay again. would be interested to see how restaurant turns out. only snacks available now.

Do not book this hotel! They told me my payment was declined and canceled my reservation and gave away my room. The only way I knew this was because I called the day off to make sure I could check in at 8 PM. No one reached out to me or Hotels.com to let them know, as I was getting regular confirmation emails from Hotels.com for my upcoming stay and that everything was all set. I had receipts from two months prior showing I had paid in full, and Hotels.com confirmed this when I called to speak with customer service. Thankfully, Hotels.com has great customer service and they set me up in another hotel, otherwise I really would have been stuck. I would avoid this hotel!

The hotel wasn't even accepting reservations and Expedia booked me there. And I also paid a $9 insurance fee. Thankfully, I did not pay for my reservation in advance. I received no confirmation from the hotel or Expedia. The night before my departure, I looked for a confirmation and found nothing. I tried to call the hotel and the call went immediately went to voicemail with no outgoing message. The next day, when I arrived in the town and drove by the place, there was a huge sign out front that said re-opening soon. Thanks a lot, Expedia. I was rescued by Airbnb.
