Lovely historic homes transformed into unique modern hotel rooms! Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Walkable to so much of downtown restaurants, shops & breweries. Very clean with plenty of amenities. Breakfast included was delicious every day. Helpful staff. Nice outdoor seating area. We lived our stay in Asheville at Zelda Dearest!

The visit was awesome, the staff was helpful and non obtrusive. The room, grounds and common outside areas were gorgeous and the hotel is in a great location to home base and explore from. Breakfast bites were awesome and much appreciated. The free drink voucher at the bar was a great touch.

Lovely unique hotel with spacious rooms, lovely breakfast and helpful staff. It is perfectly located to be able to walk to shops and restaurants, and less than a 10 minute drive to The Biltmore.

Absolutely awesome place. The staff at check in were very helpful and shared a restaurant list! Our room was clean and gorgeous, with comfortable robes, a large bathtub with a book/drink holder, comfortable robes, the whole works. The breakfast was quite substantial for a continental breakfast, and everything tasted excellent. The coffee was VERY good too.

The downtown location of this hotel is incredible - you can walk to restaurants, shops, and breweries. Parking was easy, the room was TO DIE for, the whole property is incredibly clean, tbe breakfast is delicious, there’s coffee/tea/water all the time, the patio between houses is super nice, the bed was super comfy and the bathroom was amazing. 15/10, literally cannot wait to go back.

Zelda Dearest is the most charming place you can stay in Asheville. A mix of comfort, luxury, and convenience made better by the excellent staff. They remember and treat their returning guests exceptionally well. There’s plenty to explore close by, but this is a wonderful place to enjoy on its own. Slow mornings in the courtyard or starting the evening at Wine & Roses. You leave your stay feeling restored and refreshed, but I’m always terribly sad to check out. No amount of days here is enough!

We travel to Asheville multiple times per year. This is an amazing boutique hotel. Great location. Beautifully appointed rooms. A delicious continental breakfast. Warm staff. 5 stars all around!

We absolutely loved Zelda Dearest. This place has quickly become our go-to when we’re in Asheville — the 1920s vibe, the atmosphere, the staff — all of it just works. Breakfast was fantastic and the perfect way to start the morning before heading out to explore downtown. The location is great too, easy walking distance to everything. If you haven’t stayed here yet, you’re missing out. We’ll definitely be back.

I can’t say anything negative about this establishment, and if I could it wouldn’t be for a lack of effort on the employee’s part! Every instance the staff were eager to assist us with anything from passionately recommending restaurants, cleaning rust off the bathroom vanities, coming in on some of their off days to salt the walkways when it snowed, and even sharing the recipe for their wonderful chocolate banana bread. I loved staying here, the grounds are beautiful and thought is put into every bit of it. Extremely clean, extremely pretty, close to everything you need, and very honest people. We will definitely be back to Zelda Dearest! Shoutout to Regina, Garrett Matthew, and Jake! Their personalities contributed to our love of the place Ps: I lied. my only complaint was the lack of a microwave in our suite, but a small price to pay for everything else to be, quite literally, perfect

I adored this hotel. Great location within walking distance to the Orange Peel concert venue, and great shops and dining, the staff were so kind and helpful. I would love to stay here again and try another one of their unique suites. I enjoy design and this was a gem.

Zelda Dearest is located close to restaurants, music venues, movie theater, Art Museum, lots of cute little shops. When I say close, I mean 10 minute walk or less. We parked at our arrival and didn't use the car for two days. We stayed in the Verbena Room, and it was very comfortable for two people. We each had a bedside table with lamp, there was a huge television with Roku, double vanity in the bath and walk-in shower, closet and drawers for clothing. We have no mobility issues, but I will say if one did, the property could be a problem because there were steps leading into the various houses and the house where the breakfast was served. I found the breakfast to be much better than reviews indicated. I had egg and spinach quiche and fruit one morning, and the second morning I had yogurt, berries and quiche. My husband loved the overnight oats. Yes, there were muffins, croissants and nutbrad, but there were healthier options. Jeff at the check-in offered to take out luggage up for us, so if we had been unable to carry it ourselves up the steps, we had an option.

Amazing hotel! Warm greeting and great drinks at their cocktail bar. Room was beautiful, elegant and I loved the decor. Breakfast was included and absolutely wonderful, loved the overnight oats & frittata. Will definitely be returning! My only slight complaint was that the steps walking down to Biltmore Ave. were steep, uneven and no handrail. I didn’t have any issues with them but it felt a little treacherous any time we had to use them.

We initially decided to stay at Zelda Dearest due to its proximity to Burial Brewery and the Eulogy venue, but we found so much more to love about it. Our suite (Darling Heart) was spotless and comfortable. All of the staff were very friendly and accommodating, sharing helpful tips on local restaurants. We loved the breakfast offerings of delicious pastries, overnight oats and good coffee. We even extended our stay one extra night so we could enjoy the cocktails at their lovely lounge Wine and Roses, which is open evenings Thursday- Sunday. We have been coming to Asheville for over 20 years and have stayed at numerous hotels and B & Bs. Zelda Dearest is now our favorite place to stay in Asheville, and we will definitely be staying here again.

Everything was better than expected! Room was spotless & gorgeous!! Just know there’s no elevator - so you will have to take your bags up stairs - but the staff offered to help!!
