We stayed here for 5 nights on our honeymoon after really wanting to switch off from our home/work lives in Aus. The transit and connection to the island was smooth and dropped us on the beach where staff greeted us and we checked in. The resort was clean and tidy with workers about all days. The room was large open and bright and turned over each day. The food was great, we had fresh seafood from the fisherman and amazing beef from a nearby island. There isn’t a lot to do locally on this island though it is worth a walk to the coffee plantation on a Saturday morning for local brewed coffee. Tours on Santo are easily arranged and a quick trip over to the tour last by boat was gladly arranged by the staff. It was worth the trip to champagne beach and port olry and a swim in the blue holes. The stay was perfect for us. This isn’t a 5 star resort full of amenities and toys but that’s exactly what we were looking for. Our day was pretty much wake early, enjoy the still morning water , take a kayak out into the bay and snorkel on the beautiful reefs and sunbake on the sand. A late swim and a snooze then back to the nakamal for a beer and a great dinner with dessert. Worth a trip back.

We have had such a great stay in this boutique island resort!! The beach huts are great- comfy beds and pillows and very spacious. The garden is lovely and both paths and beach raked daily. The resort is beachfront so you can jump in whenever for a swim in crystal clear water or use the kayaks, paddle boards and snorkels to explore the awesome reef and fish literally just off the beach! Mark and Vira were such great hosts- great for a chat and laugh and happy to organise any tours for us or whisk up an island cocktail for us whilst listening to great tunes in their cool beach bar. The thing that blew us away the most was the food!!! WHOA!! A very French-infused menu made for some of the tastiest meals we have ever eaten!! Fresh local lobster, prawns, crabs, fish and steak that you would pay a fortune for back in Aus were extremely reasonable and just soo good! We can't wait to come back for more island relaxing and eating at this awesome resort and thank Mark for such a great holiday!

If you are looking for a place to get away from it all, but want to swim, snorkel, kayak, laze about, enjoy great food, beautiful location and welcoming people, then this is it! I had doubts about going mid January, but the breeze comes into the bay in the morning and stays all day, with a view you don't get tired off and reef at your doorstep. Easy enough to get to Santo for any tours, and of course Aore Island has it's own attractions too. Two Canoes staff were fantastic, we felt pampered as soon as we arrived. Tropical breakfast, blackboard menu for lunch and dinner (multi options), the most awesome local Aore Island coffee. Bungalows are lovely and have all you need. Thank you to Vira and his team for making our break away a wonderful experience.

An absolute paradise exists at 2 Canoes. The staff are amazing and they almost know what you need before you need it. The chef is extremely talented and skilled in his trade. The rooms are luxurious. The wee dog Malo is so adorable and laid back and perfect company. We didn't want to leave!

We had a really nice time at Two Canoes. It was very peaceful and perfect for a very relaxing holiday. Really good Snorkeling right out the front of your accomodation with Nemo fish & beautiful Corals. Staff are lovely, but shy, so you just have to ask when you would like something. Good for a few days.

mark and his team were great hosts. I great little resort if you want to escape from it all and just chill out. The food was fresh and delicious and the island has wonderful swimming and sandy beaches. Can't wait to go back again one day.

This is a great spot to stay if you're looking for an island get away. Cabins are right on the beach. Fishing, snorkelling and island exploring are fantastic. The food was the best we had in Vanuatu. The cabins aren't that private yet as all the plants are still to grow, but it didn't feel like other guests were in your face. Definitely recommend this place.

what the owner charges per night rises a high bench mark for what you actually get ? Its expensive to stay!!! Yep, a beautiful Island... There is no indication that you are boated across to an isolated island, which is great if your prepared to totally live off the Islands expenses for miscellaneous treats if vacating for a week or so! They provide NO bottled water, cooked breakfast or WI FI ? (you pay extra for this) In the rooms, NO clothes hangers, bar fridge for personal use & safe box. Things you expect if paying top $$. Thanks to the staff Derek (on site manager) and his crew that seemed to be challenged daily to provide what guest expected would of been included in the package. Disappointing Mark....

Great spot but the rooms were in poor condition and it ran on generator so there was no power from 10.30pm till 5.30am so it was very hot at night with no fan as you had to close the doors cause there were no fly screens and lots of mosquitoes. There is no fridge in the room so you can only rely on the lunch and dinners sold through two canoes which was quite expensive (but nice). The kayaks that we were told we could use to fish on (when I enquired about staying there) all had holes and sunk which was very awkward when you have already paddled out a distance. The staff were wonderful but were hard to communicate with. I would go back to the area but not to two canoes.
