Special Protocol

Before you travel, make sure you have checked and prepared travel requirements, such as a COVID-19 free certificate, visa suspension & quarantine rules at origin, transit/connection, and destination.

Refund

Refunds for Garuda Indonesia Airlines are not currently given in cash but in the form of EMD / Travel Vouchers. Refund submission must be made before your initial travel date. The conditions for submitting an EMD / Travel Vouchers refund are as follows:

  • EMD / Travel Vouchers are transferable on condition that the initial passenger provides a letter of attorney and a copy of an identity card
  • EMD / Travel Vouchers cannot be exchanged into cash
  • The initial ticket owner must arrive when activating the latest ticket.
  • No show fees apply when reservations are not canceled before the flight according to airline regulations
  • For name changes (corname) on EMD / Travel Vouchers, Submissions must be made at the relevant airline
  • If the passenger does not have a certain new flight schedule/route, passengers are allowed to extend and redeem the  EMD / Travel Vouchers until December 31, 2022

Open Ticket

The conditions for submitting an Open Ticket are as follows:

  • If the passenger does not have a certain new flight schedule/route, passengers are allowed to extend the ticket validity period until December 31, 2022

  • Fare differences and other additional charges (e.g. applicable taxes) will apply

Reroute

  • Submitting a re-route can be done while using the same airline
  • Submissions are made at the related airlines
  • Reroute / change fee will be waived
  • Waiver for reroute / change fee permitted for three times except for Amsterdam, London, Nabire, Jayapura, Ambon, Sorong, Bintan, Batam, Padang, Lampung, Manokwari, Balikpapan, Kalimarau, Samarinda, Lombok, Medan, Bali, Palu, Java island, Pontianak, Palangkaraya routes and all domestic routes during PPKM period according to the reschedule table only permitted for one time.
  • If the reroute ticket price is greater than the EMD / Travel Voucher value given, the difference fare will be paid by the passenger. If the ticket price is lower than the EMD / Travel Voucher given, then the difference fare will not be given to the passenger.
