T&C and Other Info on the Flight Delay Plus

  1. Flight Delay Plus Protection is an insurance product from PT MNC Asuransi Indonesia.
  2. The marketed product is an insurance product.
  3. Travel Insurance can only be purchased through the websites www.tiket.com; m.tiket.com; and the tiket.com app (iOS & Android).
  4. The insurer is not responsible for any negligence of the tiket.com system.
  5. This Travel Insurance applies to trips using airplanes for One Way Trips or Round Trips with Domestic routes, Inbound (from abroad to Indonesia), Outbound (from Indonesia abroad), as well as within international routes (between international destinations).
  6. This insurance is valid for all citizens aged a minimum of 14 (fourteen) days up to a maximum of 84 (eighty-four) years at the departure date.
  7. Round Trips must be booked under one (1) booking code (Order ID), and the maximum duration for a single trip is 183 (one hundred eighty-three) days.
  8. This insurance provides benefits for Flight Delays of licensed airplanes if the flight is delayed by a minimum of 90 (ninety) consecutive minutes caused by natural disasters or extreme weather conditions, weather conditions that are not severe but cause delays, riots, civil unrest or mass movements causing delay of the insured scheduled transportation, strikes causing delays in the insured transportation service, any unforeseen events causing unexpected airport closures, engine damage, equipment failure or structural defects of the insured transportation, or any events resulting in flight schedule postponement.
  9. Delay is calculated from the scheduled departure (boarding time) on the boarding pass until the actual departure (boarding time), where proof of departure time can be seen through documents printed on the travel schedule issued to the Insured (boarding pass), or stated in other formal documents provided or issued by the insured transportation provider.
  10. This insurance does not cover flight cancellations or rescheduling, but the Insured can request a change of participation period stated in the Coverage Summary Letter (Surat Rangkuman Perlindungan) by contacting tiket.com if rescheduling occurs by the Airline before the scheduled departure, so the benefits remain valid for the rescheduled flight.
  11. This insurance only applies if the flight is delayed for 90 (ninety) consecutive minutes and is not an accumulation of previous delays.
  12. For One Way Trips, claims can only be made once, whereas for Round Trips claims can be made once for departure and once for return.
  13. tiket.com does not manage premiums and acts only as an intermediary between the Insured and Cermati Protect and PT MNC Asuransi Indonesia via the website or app.
  14. tiket.com has no obligations and/or responsibilities related to the purchase of insurance products by the Insured.
  15. tiket.com reserves the right, without prior notice, to take necessary actions if fraud is found from the Insured.
  16. The Insured is a tiket.com customer individually named in the policy for something insured under the Travel Insurance and therefore has the right to receive insurance protection against possible risks.
  17. The Coverage Summary Letter (Surat Rangkuman Perlindungan) will be sent via email to the Insured.
  18. Insurance premiums are non-refundable.
  19. Transactions use Rupiah currency, and if reimbursement is made to a foreign bank, the Foreign Exchange (Forex) rate at the time of transfer applies, and the amount will correspond to the Rupiah value of the compensation. All costs for Foreign Exchange (Forex) transfers are borne by the Insured.
  20. Claims must be reported within 30 (thirty) days from the date of the incident.
  21. Claims can be reported via the Online Claim Center at m.tiket.com/insurance-claim or for further information via WhatsApp (Chat Only) at 0815-8500-9500 or email claims@cermatiprotect.com at their operational hours on Monday-Sunday, 09:00-21:00 GMT+7 (except on national holidays).
  22. If, within 90 (ninety) calendar days, the Insured is unable to provide a valid bank account, or if the Insured is a Foreign Citizen (non-Indonesian) without a local bank account, then the Insured agrees that the approved claim payment will be redirected to tiket.com to be converted into Blibli Tiket Points. This decision is final and binding, and therefore, the Insured has no right to file complaints or objections in the future. Once the Insurance Company makes the claim payment to the Policyholder or Broker, responsibility for the claim fully transfers to the Policyholder.
  23. The Insurance Company will not process a claim submission if the insurance policy was purchased after the Insured became aware of the event to be claimed, or after information about the event was announced to the public.
  24. The Insured is advised to carefully read all explanations regarding coverage and exclusions contained in the PT MNC Asuransi Indonesia policy terms.
  25. The Insured authorizes PT MNC Asuransi Indonesia to use or provide information and/or details about the Insured available, obtained, or stored by PT MNC Asuransi Indonesia (as stated in this Coverage Application, Policy, or other insurance product documents) for the purpose of submitting this Coverage Application, claims payment, and services to the Insured. The Insured also understands that they have the right to correct or add information and details about themselves by contacting PT MNC Asuransi Indonesia.
  26. The Insured grants PT MNC Asuransi Indonesia the authority to use and/or provide information and/or details about the Insured related to the Insured’s Policy based on this Coverage Application, including but not limited to information and/or details regarding the Premium.
  27. By purchasing the Travel Insurance product, the Insured has read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions of the Travel Insurance product consciously and without coercion from any party, including but not limited to decisions by PT MNC Asuransi Indonesia.
