The owners of this family-owned cottage, Jolene and Rob, did such a great job with the stonework and restoring this piece of family history back to its former glory. And the cottage itself is lovely, with a lovely garden and outdoor area to enjoy. The views are beautiful with the mountains and the surrounding bush. I believe it's a much more picturesque part of mclaren valley than closer to the coast and feels a bit more like a country escape. A lovely stay at the cottage! We got everything we could possibly need here, particularly the addition of freshbaked bread and fresh fresh eggs for breakfast! The area is ideal for exploring the numerous small wineries near, as well as great walks in Kitto or on Kaparinga national park! The views around here are beautiful with the hills and the entire forest I think it's a much more picturesque part of mclaren valley than closer to the coast and feels a little more like a country escape. The cottage itself is lovely, with a lovely garden and outdoor area to enjoy.

It was a lovely visit to the cottage! It was perfect for the winter because having a wood fire made everything feel very warm and comfortable! And that tub is ideal for a relaxing soak with a cup of local wine! We received anything we could possibly need, especially the addition of freshly baked bread and farm fresh eggs for breakfast! The location is ideal for exploring the area, which has several small wineries nearby, and there are excellent walks in Kitto or on Kaparinga National Park as well! The views around here are lovely with the mountains and the entire forest. I think it's a much more picturesque part of mclaren valley than closer to the coast, and feels a little more like a country getaway. Of course, the cottage itself is beautiful, with a lovely garden and outdoor area to enjoy.
