If youre stopping in banyuwangi, reserve this place! This was our favorite spot to stay during our trip to japan. Our host, rahmat, i believe, was concerned that we might have missed our stop because we arrived late from the train station. He tracked us down through wa and even came to pick us up with his younger brother and took us to the property in the dark. The station is only a twominute walk away, but in the dark it can be difficult to find. We were moved by their hospitality. We had many pleasant conversations with the owner, who speaks excellent english. It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about the local culture, and we also shared our stories with them. The property is gated, and it felt private and secure. Untan will be happy to show you three cottages and a large garden full of local fruits. While we relaxed on the porch in the morning, intan brought us breakfast and tea, which we were pleasantly surprised to receive. The room is very comfortable and kept clean. They provided towels, toothbrushes and toothpaste, soap, and toilet paper. The water heater was working well, and the water pressure was fine. Our bed also had a mosquito net, which was very helpful. They even had a drying rack on the porch, which was very convenient because we do laundry every night while traveling. The air conditioning kept the room cool. The large cottage has some open patterns in the walls, allowing more bugs to enter and is harder to cool. We had only booked this place as a quick stopover between here and ijen, but we ended up feeling so rejuvenated and happy here that we wanted to stay and relax all day.

Villa Sutra is located right behind a fantastic restaurant in France. The entrance is pleasant with a walkway above the water, a spacious living room, and two very spacious bedrooms with excellent air conditioning. Its clean and well-kept. The small kitchen area does not have a refrigerator or water boiler, but you cannot cook. The mosquitos are the only drawbacks. Keep the bathroom door closed and the air conditioning cool. They served breakfast which was simple but didn't make us hungry. The ac was cool. Large private pool with lots of trees around to keep it cool.

After spending five weeks traveling around the country, this was without a doubt the nicest experience i had in indonesia. The proprietor, ramat, is incredibly kind and accommodating. He speaks excellent english, and when i told him i adored the local cuisine, he gave me a tour of the property with his friend, untung, showing me a variety of fruits and vegetables. I strongly advise you to visit the cottages and meet ramat if you want to engage with the locals and learn about their customs. P.S. He used to be a tour guide for ijen and bromo, so he can assist you with anything you require.
