The rooms are excellent, and the staff is very friendly, so i would have given 5 stars for the service as well. The wifi is the only letdown. Paying over $100 per night to stay at this hotel and having wifi that speeds up or down is as fast as dialup. 2024 and also in japan which is known for its worldrecord net speeds, every web page, app, or video ive tried to load takes forever. Ive stayed in hotels that are less than half the price of candeo omiya, which has much faster wifi. To be honest, its a let down. In this day and age, wifi speed is extremely important for so many things right now.

Although it is a 5minute walk, it appears farther from the station. It is quite handy because there are three convenience stores in each corner next to the building. The personnel could use some improvement. There were smarter decor and larger rooms than in typical business hotels in japan. However, having an outdoor public bath on the last floor is advantageous because it offers fewer views of the city.

I booked this hotel because i wanted to take a hot spring and sauna. The hotel was very clean and the bed was symphony so it was super comfortable! I was also happy to be able to watch video apps on tv the hot shower for women was mist sauna, the changing room was small but clean.

The room is small and has a reasonable design and layout. The furniture is relatively new. There is soaking pool on the rooftop which is also large and open all night. Parking is available downstairs of the hotel, but the price is very expensive at 1,900 yen per night for parking.

The hotels location and decor, as well as its size, are excellent. The restaurants location is excellent, and the breakfast is of high quality. Compared to many hot spring hotels, the large bath arrangement is superior.

This place is suitable for business trips. It is conveniently located near omiya, with many restaurants nearby. However, having a gym or swimming pool would be preferable. The spa is good and convenient in terms of timings. There is room for improvement in the breakfast menu.

As of 1 March 2026, changed local tax regulations require guests to pay accommodation tax at updated rates, which will be collected separately by the property during the check-in process. The tax is determined by the room rate and is charged per person, per night, as follows:

For room rates less than JPY 20,000: JPY 200   
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 500   
For room rates of JPY 50,000 or more: JPY 1,000  

【Accommodation tax from 1 March 2026, onwards】  
For room rates less than JPY 6,000: JPY 200   
For room rates from JPY 6,000 to less than JPY 20,000: JPY 400  
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 1,000   
For room rates from JPY 50,000 to less than JPY 100,000: JPY 4,000 
For room rates of JPY 100,000 or more: JPY 10,000   

For the purposes of the accommodation tax, the term “accommodation fee” will refer to the room-only rate, excluding any meal charges and consumption tax.  
Please settle the payment at the hotel upon check-in.
Effective from October 1, 2018, Accommodation Tax will be applicable in Kyoto City as follows. JPY 200 per person per night for booking below JPY 20,000, JPY 500 per person per night for booking between JPY 20,000 to JPY 50,000, JPY 1,000 per person per night for booking above JPY 50,000.
