Kyoto Takao Kanko Hotel

As of 1 March 2026, changed local tax regulations require guests to pay accommodation tax at updated rates, which will be collected separately by the property during the check-in process. The tax is determined by the room rate and is charged per person, per night, as follows: 

【Accommodation tax through 28 February 2026】  
For room rates less than JPY 20,000: JPY 200   
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 500   
For room rates of JPY 50,000 or more: JPY 1,000  

【Accommodation tax from 1 March 2026, onwards】  
For room rates less than JPY 6,000: JPY 200   
For room rates from JPY 6,000 to less than JPY 20,000: JPY 400  
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 1,000   
For room rates from JPY 50,000 to less than JPY 100,000: JPY 4,000 
For room rates of JPY 100,000 or more: JPY 10,000   

For the purposes of the accommodation tax, the term “accommodation fee” will refer to the room-only rate, excluding any meal charges and consumption tax.  
Please settle the payment at the hotel upon check-in.
Guests are required to provide an estimated check-in time and transportation to the property prior to arrival.
One child under 6 years old stays for free if using existing bed.
You must inform the hotel in advance what time you plan to check in. If your check-in time changes, please update the hotel.Take a JR bus from Karasuma Chuo Exit of JR Kyoto Station, and get off at Yamashiro Takao Bus Stop. Please call the hotel before getting on the bus, and the hotel staff will wait at the bus stop to escort you to the property.Dinner is served in a "Kawadoko" open-air dining area from June-September.
