The service provided by the store is excellent. The room is cozy and made of tatami mats. Outside the window, there are enormous trees. I must mention the hot springs in my opinion. This is my first time visiting yamanakano hotsprings for the first occasion. Its fantastic. Perfect for vacation.

It was a little remote, so i had to go there alone, but the facilities were good and they were very friendly, making me happy.

This is a wonderful onsen retreat that i highly recommend. The staff is warm and welcoming, the food (breakfast and dinner included) is delicious and the indoor and outdoor baths are great and relaxing. Easy to access via kyoto bus 17 from kyotsu station. Ohara is the end of the line, about 1 hour and 560 yen as of writing this writing. They will pick you up or take you back to the bus station if requested in advance, or you can take the lovely 10minute walk up the hill using the walking trail.

The location is deep in the mountains, the natural environment is very good and you can reach jikkoin temple within a few steps. The hotel has incredibly traditional japanese style and he has an excellent experience. However, it is extremely dark at night and it can be said that there is no one within 100 miles. It can also be described as going up and down the mountain in terms of transportation. You need to take cab to kusai kaikan station and transfer to the bus to go to Ohara. A little far from the city. Every day, they have tidied up hot pots at the hotel, all with miso as the theme. Also, you may sample misoji ice cream from ohara itself. In terms for service, receptionists are very enthusiastic. Surprisingly large, enough for four people. Although the openair hot spring is quite artistic, i regret not getting up during the day to swim. There will be dazzling scenery. Im not sure if it was merely arranged for specialized service but there was an additional dish of appetizers for breakfast on the morning of checkout. Breakfast is also very traditional in jalan. Some flaws exist as well. When explaining the checkin information, be more careful. Outside, there exists utensils for your teeth. We only discovered it when we

The distance from the hotel is not too far. It takes around an hour by car to get to the city, and the room lacks a bathroom. However, the surroundings are favorable, with stunning red leaves of sinsen-in.

This was my favorite place to stay during my entire trip. Very tidy room with table and kotatsu in the center. All information required during your stay, including how to properly use the onsen and put on the provided robes, is in book you get with the room. The futon was quite comfortable and the pillow was firm which i like. Breakfast was miso fish and dinner was chicken hotpot. Rice and other side dishes were selfservice. There are 2 separate onses for men and women that change every night. One ive seen in pictures is not as beautiful as the other. Excellent place if you want to get away from the city and have some peace.

When visiting kyoto, this ryokan was everything i had always envisioned. I dont understand the unfavorable reviews complaining about how it looks old and lacks modern conveniences. That is the point of a traditional yoken, in fact. Even though we arrived much later than we had anticipated to be there, our host was incredibly patient in dealing with our broken japanese language and made us feel at ease. The onsen was on each side that was both stunningly lovely, private, and quite warm.

The ryokan, which was undoubtedly excellent many years ago and has seen better days than it has been. It is still disappointing for the amount paid (220 eur for three people, including dinner and breakfast). Its located an hour by bus from kyoto, in a lovely green environment, attentive staff, and delicious and hearty meals (dinner and brunch). However, the onsen experience is quite disappointing. Dirty bathrooms that havent been cleaned in some time, such as taps and even mirrors covered in limescale, hair clumps, etc. Dining room furniture has drab appearance, paints that are faded, or carpets.

The onsen was enjoyable, and the staff was satisfactory. A little out of the way, but worth it for the scenery. The room was private and serene, with a lovely view of changing leaves when we stayed in November. With large luggage, the stairs can be quite challenging.

The room smells musty, but its clean enough and the outdoor environment is beautiful! The two meals were very good and i completely felt the flavor of japanese ryokan!.

I wish i could return right now. I adored this laidback, incredibly tranquil location. Although the decor and bathroom are not updated, it is clean and feels like you are at a distant relatives house with your own unique tastes. Everyone was genuinely kind and accommodating. A room with vistas fresh breakfast and dinner hot springs are included in the price!.
