This was without a doubt the best stay I’ve ever had. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful, very communicative despite the gap of languages. The room was fantastic with heated tatami mat floors, immaculately clean and well designed. It was an absolute pleasure and 10/10 would stay there again. My wife and I felt like we were treated like absolute royalty.

Very cozy Ryokan with very nice staff. The bath was very good. We got the kaiseki dinner, and it was a bit too much fish for us. The western breakfast was very tasty.

The location is amazing, and the service is excellent. The breakfast is delicious, and the onsen is very relaxing. Its definitely worth trying out the garden view if you can.

We had the best experience with this beautiful Ryokan. The staff was so sweet, the food was amazing, and the room was 10 out off 10. I definitely recommend this amazing Ryokan. I do recommend to know the basics of Japanese to better communicate with the staff. The location was as well perfect, walk distance from the main attractions and that made it easier for us to visit them without having many tourist around.

The price was quite high, but you got a nice location to be close to beautiful scenery, festivities, temples, and shrines. The staff was amazing! They went above and beyond to provide us with a traditional stay. The best part was the onsen! Its smaller so you reserve time instead of public onsens where everyone shares. But because of this, it was a much more private experience, which i appreciated. The room was huge. Much more than two people needed.

The dining and breakfast are excellent, and the rooms and hotel itself are beautifully constructed with meticulous attention to detail. You truly feel as if you are staying in a classic ryokan. Aside from that, the staff is extremely friendly, even if you speak almost no japanese. The shared bath is only available for reservation, providing a relaxing private experience, which can be a bonus if you dont like onsen vibes. The hotel is made of wood, so if you are a light sleeper, keep this in mind. Staying at ryokan motonago was by far the best hotel experience ive ever had.

Lokasinya luar biasa. Bisa dikatakan berada di seberang Kodaiji. Itu di tengah jalan Nene. Check-in agak terlambat. Waktu check-out adalah jam Ini bukan ryokan di mana Anda dapat tinggal untuk waktu yang lama, jadi menurut saya itu bukan masalah besar. Cantik kalau masuk dari depan dan pintunya terbuka sehingga Anda dapat melihat taman melalui pintunya, tapi tamannya cukup kecil. Selain itu, ruang tengah yang terlihat seperti perpustakaan ditutup sebagai ruang makan untuk tamu lain, sehingga tidak ada yang dapat dinikmati di akomodasi. Kamarnya sangat luas. Tempat saya menginap cukup luas untuk keluarga beranggotakan empat orang. Kondisi kamar rata-rata. Yang istimewa di kamar tidak ada shower, hanya wastafel dan toilet. Anda dapat mengatur waktu dua kali dan menggunakan kamar mandi pribadi (sangat kecil untuk 2 orang) selama 1 jam di malam hari dan 30 menit di pagi, tetapi jika ini diterapkan dengan ketat, akan sangat merepotkan. Saya hanya mengambil mandi cepat. Lebih buruk dari mandi. Makan. Hanya menu produk lokal yang enak. (5 Bintang) Yang lainnya adalah bintang. Shabu daging sapi lokal enak karena dagingnya sangat enak. Apa pun yang diberi sentuhan koki tidaklah enak. Kebersihan tempat tidur rata-rata. Bagaimana dengan sarapan. Pada saat saya menginap, saya sangat malu karena makan malamnya tidak enak. As of 1 March 2026, changed local tax regulations require guests to pay accommodation tax at updated rates, which will be collected separately by the property during the check-in process. The tax is determined by the room rate and is charged per person, per night, as follows:

For room rates from JPY 6,000 to less than JPY 20,000: JPY 400

For room rates from JPY 50,000 to less than JPY 100,000: JPY 4,000
