I highly recommend them to buy breakfast and dinner as they went above and beyond. This Roman is close to several temples and waterfalls. The service here is very satisfying. The employees are very friendly and helpful. You can also rent bikes in this Rome with a wide selection! One thing for couples, start baths are not gendered so you have to be separate for this part.

We have a wonderful time in Bhavani. The arrangement is rather straightforward, however, there is only a common bathroom and you can lay your futon there if you include dinner. The breakfast and dinner chicken sukiyaki both had excellent, new ingredients. Although it is not a natural hot spring, the shared bath was incredibly soothing. I had a lovely stroll before breakfast since they rent bikes. Ohana itself is a lovely location, which I heartily advise visiting this village for the night rather than taking a day excursion from central Kyoto.

A fantastic inexpensive roman experience. The rooms are original but still have televisions, which I thought were unnecessary, but others might enjoy this, and the onset is lovely, and the bathroom facilities are fantastic, including a hairdryer and a massage chair. Both supper and breakfast were truly authentic meals. The staff is wonderful and speaks enough English, so you can get by. Our Japanese wasnt getting us very far, so I really appreciate their efforts. Ohana itself is a lovely mountain village with a river and some beautiful shrines that are well worth a visit, and you can borrow bikes from the roman if your thighs are up for it! Or it's pretty simple to walk. The Roman is very easy to reach by bus from central kyoto and well worth doing to experience rural japan and escape the hustle and bustle.

As of 1 March 2026, changed local tax regulations require guests to pay accommodation tax at updated rates, which will be collected separately by the property during the check-in process. The tax is determined by the room rate and is charged per person, per night, as follows:

For room rates less than JPY 20,000: JPY 200   
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 500   
For room rates of JPY 50,000 or more: JPY 1,000  

【Accommodation tax from 1 March 2026, onwards】  
For room rates less than JPY 6,000: JPY 200   
For room rates from JPY 6,000 to less than JPY 20,000: JPY 400  
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 1,000   
For room rates from JPY 50,000 to less than JPY 100,000: JPY 4,000 
For room rates of JPY 100,000 or more: JPY 10,000
