We had a very pleasant short stay. Don’t be intimidated by the central city location, once you step inside, you’re completely immersed in a traditional ryokan atmosphere. The space is beautifully traditional yet thoughtfully equipped with modern essentials. The lady host was especially lovely and kind, making sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. A calm and authentic experience at a very convinient location.

What an amazing Ryokan experience! If you’re looking for authentic, tasteful and elegant Ryokan with first class service then look no further. Walking distance or a short bus ride to all major attractions. Cannot recommend enough and will certainly be back if we visit Kyoto again. Thanks for a wonderful stay

We had a living room, 2 showers, 1 bathroom, a bedroom and the best part. A zen garden to ourselves. Its right in the middle of the city but hidden from the hustle and bustle. Its the best combination of modern and traditional. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My partner got sick. They offered to take him to the hospital with a translator, do laundry and buy dinner for him. We were very grateful!.

Excellent service in a fantastic location. Bus, shopping district, train station, and bus terminals are all within walking distance. It takes 10 to 15 minutes to walk, for instance, to get to nishiki market. The hotel staff is incredibly helpful and kind. Such a peaceful location in the heart of kyoto. Strongly advised.

If youre visiting kyoto, i recommend staying here for a genuine authentic japanese experience. Tada was an exceptional host. The place was incredible. Service was excellent, and the place was immaculate.

The living room on the first floor has a garden where you can bathe, and the bedroom on the second floor. This bandb is located in the center of kyoto with very convenient transportation.

The room was amazing! The first floor has a private outdoor bath and shower, while the second floor has a separate shower and toilet. The host is very friendly and helpful. I will definitely stay here again.

The place is very beautiful, renovated in 2017. The staff is very friendly and helpful, albeit not always ready. The rooms are very warm, the internal stairs are very steep, so watch out for children, but everything works really well. Flexible approach to management is welcome.

My flat was duplex. A living room with a bathroom with outdoor bath tub made of wood, second floor tatami bedroom with another bathroom with shower. The flat was nicely arranged even though it wasnt big. They offered free beer, bottled water and tea. We just loved hanging around in the flat without doing anything. Just a reminder that there was no tv in the flat, but an ipod for some music. Soundproofing was also good, even the house was made of wood. Internet connection is great.
