This place is not the rittz Carlton, but it is for those who want to experience what it was like to live in the old preindustrial revolution. But 85 is very clean, neat, and peaceful. My wife and i love it. Try it out for your visit to kyoto.

My husband and i stayed here for about four nights and received only the best service. We were really looking for that traditional ryokan experience. The host was incredibly accommodating and it became apparent that he was running it himself as a family business. Although ive specifically chosen this due to its close proximity to kyoto station, those seeking proximity may find comfort in other areas of this expansive city. At khino station we still had countless opportunities to get around very easily, and we enjoyed nearby restaurants, the Kyoto sky tower, yodabashi camera, etc. There is also symphony nearby, which youll learn is replete. While despite being able to run the inn and manages it, guests were always welcomed upon arrival and departure. He was courteous and caring, cleaned every day while guests went out, including the shared access tub, an excellent choice if you choose to use it. His english was excellent, his manners were excellent at all times, but besides that, there are only fewer rooms available, so the amenities are all spotless. Typical japanese room in a quiet neighborhood, even though it is close to the station. The shower and small pool are amazing. Possibility to wash and dry clothes. Maybe the only thing i could down is the curfew at 23, but honestly, it didnt have an impact on me.

This place is highly recommended. As a tourist, i believe this traditional house is the best way to experience genuinely chinese homes. The room was quite large, and the staff was very attentive. Perfect for slumber and those who appreciate silence and calm.

This place is highly recommended if you are considering staying here. The room was beautiful, traditional and had everything we needed from our stay. We were made to feel welcome by the welcoming and friendly reception and the owner who gave us good service. There is a large temple nearby and both kyoto stations are within walking distance. Thank you for ensuring i had an amazing stay!.

We spent one night there with my friends, and the owners were really welcoming. The room exceeded our expectations in terms of size and appeared to be quite traditional, the shared bathroom was spotless, i had a great time at the ofuro. We were the only guests that day because we were on incredibly low season.
