A beautiful, distinctive, and lovely holiday home is located in the hills above Bandarawela, in the Sri Lankan tea plantation zone. Our three-day stay was pleasant. The property is secluded and lively, and it is meticulously kept. This house stands out because of its beautiful gardens, stunning views of the surrounding mountains, spacious bedrooms, and exquisitely cozy beds. However, our stay was made particularly memorable by Kanan the housekeeper's kind and attentive assistance and Niroshon the chef's excellent local cuisine.

As another stop on our honeymoon, our stay at the Dutch house was outstanding. This villa can accommodate 4 people, so you have the entire house to yourselves as a honeymooning couple, as we did. Kanan took exceptional care of us throughout our stay and could not have done more for us. His kindness, consideration, and service were first-rate. He was genuinely pleasant to talk with, funny, and we had a wonderful time together. We had absolutely everything we ate and drank, including the excellent food. The Sri Lankan breakfast was incredible, and everything was prepared by the chef from the garden, which kanan took the time to show us. Breakfast fruit and juices were my absolute favorite, and in the afternoon we returned for tea with sri lanka local tea and traditional fruitsfruit. One day, we even brought back some watermelon from the fruit market that they cut up for us to eat with our tea. The gardens are exquisitely maintained by the gardener, and it's such a picturesque location high above Bandarawela. Kanan went above and above to take care of us and even went into town one evening to get some arrack for us to try because we hadn't had it before, it's deadly! We would not think twice about returning. We appreciate the staff and our great care in taking care of us so well, we'll come back!

We have been here for three nights and regret to leave this special place. A place to unwind and rejuvenate after a long day of sightseeing in Sri Lanka. The grounds are beautiful, with wonderful plantings and plants. The house itself is gorgeous and beautifully decorated. The host, Madman, is a lovely human being who takes the greatest care of his guests and appears to do so with genuine enjoyment. The chef prepares delicious breakfasts and dinners.

The hotel is so unique. With two bedrooms perched on a hill overlooking Bandarawela and the nearby hills, it was just a beautiful and historic building in the Dutch Colonial style. The manager and cook, gardener, were really nice and attentive, the room was traditional but clean with a separate games area. But the pool wasn't heated, so maybe a solar panel would be able to help? We stayed for two nights and had supper that was delicious. One small perplexity was that since the hotel only serves beer, we purchased wine for the second night, and the manager kindly drove into town to buy this. A fantastic, oneofakind establishment that is strongly advised.

Very relaxing 2 night stay. The friendly Kanan takes care of all our needs. He is not too busy. Beautiful garden and beautiful view. Delicious food. Left feeling relaxed but invigorated.
