Due to the hotels location, breakfast, and parking, it received a 5star rating. The opera house, circular quay, and the rocks were all within easy walking distance of the hotel. The breakfast was excellent. The hotels free parking was the biggest saving grace i could park my car in the garage beneath the hotel for the entire duration of my stay.

The hotel has an oldworld charm. The rooms are clean, tidy, and spacious. All in a location you cant beat. You can stroll to the opera house and circular quay. Even the new tram stop is not far away. Ambience 'plus' here, and the staff are very competent and friendly. Its been a few years since my last stay, but i wont stay here for long next time.

Perfect setting, gentleel shabbiness. Its rundown, but charming. In the evening, our door rang, directing us to another room. Oops. Additionally, if you are a vegetarian or vegan diner, there is nothing at all about the inroom dining menu and nothing at all.

This hotel is amazing. We stayed in a beautiful suite. The beds were comfortable and the room was very clean. Service is excellent and the whisky bar is very cute. Loved our time here and will definitely stay here again! Must do in sydney.

We chose this hotel because of its location near the opera house and the botanic gardens. The reception and concierge service are a bit hitandmiss, but that was only a minor inconvenience. We attended the gentleman magician show which was good.

The location is excellent. The Sydney opera house is only a 5minute walk away. Convenience stores and restaurants are plentiful in the area. The oldfashioned hotel is incredibly distinctive, nostalgic, and spotless. I made a reservation by phone. When there were rooms available, i checked in at 11 oclock. It was fantastic.

Its a very nice hotel. The room is very spacious and looks old. Its very comfortable to stay, especially near the pier. Its very convenient for sightseeing. Its worth recommending to everyone and giving it a big thumbs up.

The spa here is excellent! Jodie is in human form, and i can tell she is an angel. The setting is also stunning, i love entering through the upscale hotel lobby, into the adorable wallpapered spa rooms, and stopping by circular quay after my treatment for the stunning view. I adore.

The location is perfect for a city break. The staff is friendly and welcoming. Walking down the street will bring you to the Sydney opera house. The Sydney botanical gardens are directly across the street, and Circular Quay is only a stones throw away. The room is luxurious and marble, although the hotel seems a bit worn out and in need of renovation. We paid $60 for 24 hours of parking underneath the hotel, and it was worth it to leave our car in a secure location and not have to worry about getting around because we were within walking distance of all of the major attractions of Sydney. I would recommend it if you are going to the opera house. 5 star location.

As others have stated, this is a traditional hotel. My reservation was made at the last minute. The location is ideal for ferry, cruise liners, opera house, and train station. My only complaint is the wifi, you have to login every day as it takes you longer to get a message. If you dont know that and are waiting for a message, you can log back in. I have never tried the bar. However, the pool is great for a quick dip.

The hotel boasts a stunning location, with the Sydney opera house, cruise port, and ferry terminals just minutes away. Across from the hotel lies the picturesque Sydney botanical garden. Continue along macquarie road to discover historical buildings and the beautiful city of hyde park. While the hotel itself is aged, its beauty remains undeniable. The service staff, particularly michael from the concierge, were exceptionally friendly and provided valuable insights into the citys attractions. Given the buildings age, ada compliance may be limited, but they do provide aluminum ramps for wheelchair users or those with mobility scooters.

Upgraded to a deluxe room with a large balcony overlooking the opera house and Sydney bridge. The hotel is an oldfashioned english hotel, rather dated and the room smells a bit of mold. However, the service is good, from reception to room service.

We will definitely return for a longer staycation soon! We spent one night celebrating my sisters birthday, and the reception staff, especially bhupendra, made sure we were well taken care of. The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and the room had amazing views.

I came to see the gentleman magician perform at the stamford and spent the night with my family. The show was fantastic, and i highly recommend seeing him if you can. The room had a lovely oldtime charm, as did the rest of the hotel. The room was clean and tidy, the staff were fantastic and very welcoming, and were very helpful when we had a large group checking in at different times. The location was also very nice! Made it easy to pop out for a walk along the harbor. 5/5 highly recommended!.

The positives outweighed the drawbacks, but valet parking and less dusty rooms would be nice. I was impressed when i had previously had valet parking and the guys were wearing top hats and tails, which was a nice touch on the revist they werent there, which was a bummer. But for us we really lived here and it wouldnt take much to get it to 5 stars.

Sir Stamford at Circular Quay is located on the historic Macquarie Street in the central business district and is just a few metres from the harbour which is the hub of Circular Quay. The hotel is surrounded by the Royal Botanic Gardens, beautiful Sydney Harbour and the city skyline. Sydney International Airport is 12 km away. The guest rooms are generously sized, luxuriously appointed and the majority feature French doors opening onto Juliette Balconies, which overlook the Harbour, Circular Quay or the Royal Botanic Gardens.
