We needed a place to stay and the Lord Nelson was close to want we were attending. We were surprised how good our room was. When we arrived reception was great. We when down stairs for a drink before we headed out to our function.

If you are a hop-head, you must stay here, as you get to enjoy having one of Sydney's finest brewpubs downstairs. But you don't have to be a beer aficionado to enjoy this hotel, with its unique history (you can see the chisel marks in the wall stones from when they were quarried by hand) and terrific location. The room was spacious with a nice bathroom, and the location is terrific - quiet and safe neighborhood in the Rocks, but only a ten minute walk to Circular Quay. The food options here at The Lord are great as well, and there are several good coffee shops nearby for breakfast. Will stay here again!

the staff at Lord Nelson Brewery were so wonderful, and helpful, our room had everything we needed. and the bed was very comfortable. we loved everything about Lord Nelson Brewery, except maybe the stairs. we would book again with Lord Nelson Brewery, if we ever return to Sydney, Australia.

I loved my stay at The Lord Nelson. It only has a handful of rooms, but they made me feel like I was staying at a friend’s home. All of the staff were young adults and very friendly and tried to take care of all of my needs. Down stars is a very long running pub with good food and drinks. The place is busy every day of the week. The weather was good so I sept with my windows open and was not disturbed by the people in the pub. The location is on the top of the hill in the center of the Rocks. The only problem I found is it was an 11-minute walk from the train station but I found out it was uphill most of the way. There is a park one block away, a great viewpoint at the top of the hill 2 blocks away and all the shopping in the Rocks 3 blocks away. I was getting on a Cruise Ship so they let me have late checkout and I was able to walk 3 blocks downhill and was at my cruise ship. Do your self a favor and stay at this hotel.
