Although not as experienced as other locations on our trip, the personnel at this establishment were able to deliver. All facilities were provided, and the accommodations were tidy. Good, but the communal bathrooms were adequate. Noise within this area was the biggest letdown. Guests using the bathroomblowdryer echoed throughout the halls because the bathrooms ceramic tile floors and hallways didn't sufficiently block out sound. Apparently, there is not enough sound insulation. And, someone used the shared bathroom to blow-dry their hair, which left a lot of hair on the bathroom floor. Since there were no cleaning supplies available to sweep the floor, I ended up using paper towels and wiping them on my own. It would have been nice to have cleaning supplies accessible before after using the restrooms.

I would recommend it for the long weekend. We took a taxi from the railway station to this hotel because we thought it was on a road, but it's not! It is located in a courtyard with three excellent restaurants right outside. No taxi is necessary either because it is close enough to the underground. The reception area is very traditional and we arrived very quickly. Excellent service. There is no breakfast but coffee and maybe cake. Our room was large but overlooked a street with a late night bar, but we didn't mind because we liked the little loud noise of the bar. The pillows were thin, but we got more from reception without any problem! Good fridge for waterline etc. The hotel is in a fantastic district, and it is close to the river and stores. Take a boat ride, it's fantastic. If you prefer top hotels, it's not for you, but it was quiet, friendly, and close to bars and restaurants. Excellent value for money, excellent staff, and very clean!

I believe this is the best deal you can get given its cost and location. I love staying in this hotel because I like my authenticity and feel so authentic. You travel outside to the center of Salzburg, 2 minutes from Mozart House and 10 minutes from Hochsalzburg and basically any other tourist attraction in the city center. Although the hotel does not offer breakfast, there are plenty of cafes outside where you can enjoy a cup of Austrian melanie. The guys at the front desk were always friendly, kind and funny. The rooms were kept clean and in the austrian spirit old furniture and rustic decor, among other things.

There is one blocked shower, the other was locked on the whole floor. During use, the bathroom is not cleaned daily. The water temperature is hot. There are no amenities. The price is too expensive for only a pension. But, the location is great.
