I am very happy with my stay at Hotel Malecot. I would recommend the location to anyone. The coffee in the morning is amazing. The owner was very flexible and accommodating. The location has been in the family for many years and it was interesting to hear about the history.

Excellent location in the heart of the city, just a few minutes walk from the beach, and just over the road from the casino, is the hotel. Modern but immaculate and clean walls, with very thin walls and very noisy sound. This family-run motel has a very welcoming and helpful front desk staff. We stayed in the winter and it was a really warm and pleasant place, but in the summer, I think it has a completely different feel. Breakfast was delicious, and the warm Danish pastries were excellent. We stayed in room 106 and with friends in room 107, both of which were pleasant, but the beds were twins pushed together but with separate bedding. When we returned from dinner at around 10 p.m., we sat in the lounge with our friends, no staff were on, and the bar was closed, so we were unable to have any kind of drink hot or cold, which would have made our evening better. Would definitely stay here again, and it was definitely good value for the money.

We had a family room suite with a small sitting area and a small fridge, which was very helpful when traveling with kids who have high food preferences. The room was quite tired, albeit the tiny bathroom actually had a modern and clean shower room. Other guests' noise could be heard quite clearly at times. The dining area was very elegant and attractive, and the breakfast was delicious. The hotel is just back from the beach and very near to shops. For those not too concerned about some noise from skateboarders and others using the concrete space just outside, it is a good cheap option for a short break for those who don't mind the noise from late-night revelers and casino players.

The mascot is a former old townhouse, it has a cozy vibe. Although it may not be the most soundproof hotel in Blankenberge, the room is clean and the value for money is reasonable. The owner and staff are helpful and friendly, and the breakfast is tasty but not fancy. The hotel's owner, Mary, who is a stray cat, makes it a homey feel.

This is a lovely, quirky little hotel. This hotel is a complex of two townhouses constructed in the 1900 s that have now to comply with health and safety regulations. We had adjacent rooms on the third floor, so I could even see the sea from my room, which was a wonderful bonus. The shower room was amazing, and it provided a beautiful, powerful shower. The casino is directly across the street, making it a little noisy on Friday and Saturday evening, but if that bothers you, book a room in the back. Breakfast has a good selection, with the sugar bread being particularly good. I would stay there again if we return to Blankenberge and just ask for the backroom rooms.
