I hope the owners can make the necessary updates to bring this property up to its full potential. This charming property has an incredible future. One of the greatest properties in the area is undoubtedly located by the seaside and boasting breathtaking views. However, the motel units are quite obsolete, musty, and unpleasant. The inside of the doors is warped and stained with water. The heating unit is so noisy and the sheets are super thin. Nonetheless, the restaurant is lovely, with an excellent menu, decor, and staff. There, we had a great supper and breakfast. The pool is spotless and has a charming character.

If youre looking to escape and stay close to home, the villages of mountain gap are certainly worth a visit. In cabin 6 in the villages of mountain gap, we spent three peaceful nights. Smiths cove, which was our home base and location for southwest nova excursions after arriving on Monday and leaving on Thursday, was a stunning location for our home base. The cabin was much larger than the images we saw online led us to believe that the only improvements we could suggest would be a dresser to put clothes in or a suitcase, as well as a bigger fridge to accommodate extended stays. It was extremely hot and noisy that week on the coast, making the ac a hero! Yet, its not unbearable. Mini split heat pumps would be ideal if the cottages remain with the new owners. In any case, we wouldnt be reluctant to return. We were able to unwind in peace in the lovely queen bed, and once we had finished enjoying the porch for the night, a small loveseat sofa served as a snack. The front desks pool and ice were also pleasant. The staff was attentive and friendly, making the best of the last season theyve spent.
