This is an authentic, unique and beautiful Balinese experience. You can walk to the center of busy Ubud, or stay in the quite oasis provided by the cottages and gardens of the hotel.

The location is very beautiful and unbeatable! Just south of the monkey forest. The hotel actually borders it and it is not uncommon to see the cheeky guy chased away by the ground staff. Breakfast is hearty and healthy! The hotel is actually only a 20minute walk from the center of ubud and all the attractions. The hotel also has a driver who will come pick you up if you need a ride at any time of day. The hotel couldnt do enough. They arranged dinner with traditional balinese dancing and a half day tour to all the temples in the area! Best place i stayed in bali. Recommended 100%.

We had a lovely stay at Alam Indah. The hotel is in an excellent location, in a sort of small suburb just away from the centre of Ubud, much quieter but still walkable via track around the edge of the Monkey Forest. There are plenty of good restaurants/cafes within 5 minutes walk. The staff were very welcoming and extremely capable in providing us with information and helping arrange excursions. The hotel also provides a free shuttle service to Ubud and back that can be arranged via whatsapp - this was incredibly useful. Room was as advertised, lovely big bed and great views over the valley. Design/curtains in the room mean it gets quite light in the morning - bring an eyemask if light-sensitive, but this was really no trouble. Would definitely recommend.

I want to express my gratitude to the entire team for helping us enjoy our vacation. It was wonderful to return to alam indah. The breakfasts, the rooms, the jungle setting, the pool, the peace and quiet so close to central ubud, and the attentive and friendly staff. Already miss you! Wendy and john.

With beautiful gardens and grounds, this small hotel really makes you feel part of the forest next to it. The staff are so friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

It was ten years since my last visit and I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't wait for another ten. Alam Indah is above all else peaceful and beautiful. The staff are kind and lovely. Breakfast was amazing. There's a limited menu for dinner, but the food is flavorful and satisfying.

Es war alles perfekt während unseres Aufenthaltes. Das Hotel besitzt eine wunderschön angelegte Gartenanlage und bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick über den anliegenden Affenwald. Ein perfekter Ort um von Lärm und Trubel im Zentrum Ubuds abzuschalten, obwohl dieses problemlos innerhalb von 15min zu Fuß erreichbar ist. Für wen das zu weit ist, das Hotel bietet einen kostenlosen Fahrdienst innerhalb Ubuds an. Service uns Essen waren ebenfalls perfekt.

I cant express how amazing it was at alam indah. It was the perfect paradise, away from the streets and noise of ubud yet still a waking distance from everything you could possibly need. The staff was without exception wonderful, the gardens were beautiful, and the pool area was amazing. If i could give 10 stars, i would. Thank you for this peaceful time!.

A jungle sanctuary in the center of ubud is alam indah. Its such a pleasure to have tea in the afternoon and breakfast in the morning. If you request it the day before, you can try the local cuisine, and the food is excellent. It was such a treat to have black rice pudding. Its such a lovely way to start your day by sitting and watching birds and butterflies go about their lives in the lovely garden. The accommodations are roomy and cozy. My rooms air conditioner was also quiet and kept the room nice and cold, so it didnt make much noise. Its such a pleasure to interact with the personnel. They always give you a friendly welcome and offer a solution to any and all problems you might have. The staff was pleased to assist me in organizing any kind of trip i was looking to do, and the prices were also very reasonable, so you get a great price but from the comfort of your hotel. How can you beat that? It was bittersweet, but i cant wait to return here because it feels like a second home away from home.

We had a great time here. Its a little outside of the hustle and bustle of ubud, but we expected it and it was worth it because it was so close to the monkey forest. There was also a free shuttle bus running from 9 am to 9 pm. The staff went above and beyond during our stay! The best hotel breakfast ive ever had! If you are squeamish about lizards and other insects being in your room, you may not want to stay close to the forest.

About Alam Indah Ubud

Alam Indah, the first of our Alam hotels opened in 1995 with 10 guest rooms-each individually appointed in their own style combining traditional Balinese architecture with modern ammenities. Set amidst lush gardens, Alam Indah is surrounded by idyllic views looking out to the sacred land of the Monkey Forest temple. The secluded setting of Alam Indah will feel like a retreat, yet the centre of Ubud is easily accessible- just a 10-minute walk through the forest brings you to Monkey Forest Road. A complimentary shuttle car to and from the centre of Ubud is also available on request. We offer an in-house menu for lunch and dinner prepared at our Alam Indah kitchen or the extended menu selection from Cafe Wayan or Lake Leke may be ordered in advance. Over the years, many repeat guests have returned to stay with us feeling Alam Indah to be their special home base while in Bali.
