SO HAPPY we decided to give The Slow a try! Location is absolutely perfect - one of the best parts of Canggu to stay at (and trust us, because we are in Bali more than 4 times a year for the past 11 years). But most importantly is how AMAZING the staff are, especially Wulan. She helped us with SO MUCH throughout our stay, and always with a smile and a cheery attitude. Do note though, there are no elevators and no TV in the room, but…small shortcomings compared to the great location and the excellent treatment + service you’ll get. Definitely recommend!

Great location in the middle of Canggu and large, stylish room, free water. Staff were very helpful. Main downside was that breakfast was not included and that opposite the hotel there is a bar which keeps playing music until midnight.

大変良かったです！ホテルのスタッフさんも最高に良かったです！なぜならば、エクスペディアで1日観光のチャーターを予約しましたが、中々タクシーが来ず、困り果てていたらスタッフの方が見かねてタクシーの会社に連絡をしてくれました。その甲斐があって約１時間後にタクシーが来て無事観光をする事が出来ました！スタッフさんに感謝しています！また、泊まりたいです！

Absolutely incredible hotel with beautiful staff and an amazing restaurant! The pool doesn’t get too much sun during the day but really close to the beach and the lawn to chill in the sun by the pool :)

The Slow is absolutely beautiful! The attention to detail in the design of the hotel is truly amazing! The staff is always very nice and helpful! They will give you recommendations at any time! Music is great, and room is so beautiful that you don’t feel bad spending extra time in it! It is a bit noisy to sleep but I think that’s the case for any and every hotel in Canggu. Area is very easy to get around quickly without getting lost. Lots of great restaurants nearby!

The Slow staff were amazing and made the stay that much better. As the hotel only has 12 rooms they all know you personally by name and do anything they can to make your stay better. We stayed in both the regular suite room and room with a pool. Would definitely recommend staying here if in Canggu.

You feel like a rock star staying at this hotel. Everything is like the pictures. There are trendy people coming and going to the restaurant and you feel special walking past them to go to an actual room. We received welcome drinks on arrival, which is normal in Bali, but they are in these cool pint-of-liquor looking glasses. You might think the service at such a cool hotel would be drab compared to that at a resort, but it was just as great. They would offer to clean the room twice a day, spray for mosquitos, book taxi's. One of the restaurant staff members even offered to hold our fussy 3-month-old while we ate dinner. Canggu is certainly filled with cheaper hotels and even hostels to cater to the partying surfer types, but if you want to stay at a swanky and trendy hotel, this is the place.

Only Stayed One Night. This Is A Lovely Hotel. Rooms Are Large And The Daycor Was Beautiful. The Restaurant Meals Were Delicious. Over All Review. Just About Perfect. My Only Small Compliant Was The Hotel is On The Main Road To The Beach. A little Noisy At Night. But No Real Reflection To The Hotel. Would Recommend At Stay.

The Slow is in an up and coming location but the area still retains a little of the old Bali which is nice. The modern and casual feel was a perfect match for beachside Caggnu, and the food there was the best we ate during our stay . The staff were all so so lovely and so eager to attend to anything we may have needed. Their happy faces and cheerful personalities were a welcome change.

About The Slow

THE SLOW

The SLOW is an eclectic mix of architecture, sound, food and art. Built in 2016, the multi-faceted stay incorporates boutique accommodation, all-day dining and drinks, art and local culture, and interactive retail. The overall design feels luxurious, boho and rustic at the same time, with tropical plants at every turn, raw concrete flooring and rustic rugs.

ARCHITECTURE

Tropical brutalism, brutalism is a concept after world war 2, where simplicity or minimalistic is the key, like there's only a giant block with windows and doors, and few additions.

THE SUITES

Modern, tropical suites use clean lines and natural, local textures to create a unique, warm, minimalist space. Every room offers floor-to-ceiling windows; suites have huge signature screens that swivel open and frame views of the neighboring village, while the intimate Pool Suites are enclosed by lush jungle greenery around a private plunge pool.

There are 12 guest rooms which carry through the same exquisite design: bare stone walls, clean lines, boho art on the walls. Soft furnishings are all in muted, natural hues, and the contrasting materials – concrete floors, bamboo chairs, sleek wooden coffee tables.

To encourage the slow lifestyle, there are no tv's in the rooms. Immersense with the curated music playlist that connected from our restaurant.

The gallery space known as the Room 13, features the art works from collaboration with local or international artists.
