Need to take a taxi to hotel or bus and walk several minutes. Bus takes credit card. But hotel is very charming and lots of hospitality

The hotel is nicely situated, and staff was ready and helpful in securing parking. The public spaces are welcoming, spacious and cosy. The breakfast alone is worth staying here--unbelievable. We stayed in many similar hotels during our visit of Tuscany, and this breakfast is EPIC. What a lovely way to start the day!

The hotel is conveniently located just a short distance downhill from Piazza Garibaldi (the entry to the main pedestrian zone of Cortona). However, parking is on-street nearby and arriving on a fine Saturday afternoon, it was challenging to find a space. I had to park in a paid space located a distance away for check-in, and only managed to find a free spot later when the day tourists had left. Parking issues aside, the hotel itself is lovely and cosy, and all the staff I met, from reception to restaurant, were genuinely warm and attentive. The breakfast was a standout – instead of the usual dry scrambled eggs and limp bacon, there was asparagus wrapped in bacon, baked eggplant topped with diced tomato, baked stuffed tomatoes, fried eggs with avocado slides, and many more visually appealing dishes I did not have space in my stomach to sample. I have never had such a unique and delicious hotel breakfast anywhere. The hotel also offered some small bites for happy hour in the evening, but these were not as good as breakfast and were quickly gone without being replenished. I got a very good deal on Expedia, visiting in the off-season in late November. If the price is right, I would definitely stay at Hotel Villa Marsili again if I return to Cortona or its vicinity. Highly recommended hotel!

Most comfortable room and bed beds that we stayed in the whole time we were in Italy! Also, the breakfast was 10 out of 10! Much better than the five star hotel that we stayed at in Rome and Florence.

Everything about this hotel was fabulous! Very helpful and friendly staff, beautiful spacious room with an amazing view, and the food!!! Breakfast, happy hour and night time cookie snacks - all just the best. Can’t recommend this hotel enough. Would definitely stay here again!

What stood out most is the staff. Very friendly, welcoming, professional, helpful and genuine in their everyday interactions with guests. We got help parking our car upon arrival, enjoyed their daily happy hour and dessert offerings, and their daily included breakfast was simply amazing! The charm of the hotel decor, and the beautiful view of the Tuscan hills from our corner suite made it feel like we were transported in time. Walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants and 1 hour day trip drives to other towns made this hotel an ideal base for our week long stay. Highly recommend!

I can't recommend the Marsili highly enough. The property is perfectly situated just on the outskirts of Cortona center. A 5 minute walk and you are exploring a fascinating, casual, friendly, safe and fun neighborhood. Every member of the staff went out of their way to meet our needs. We loved the breakfast as it was different daily and so delicious. The rooms were large and comfortable. We sat up in bed in the morning to outstanding views of the valley. It was out of a painting.

The location for this hotel was absolutely perfect. Perfect location. Dreamy town. The hotel staff was friendly… literally everyone. The hotel was spotless, the linens were soft, and breakfast was beautiful. The tables were set with linens and silverware and the servers brought freshly made coffee and freshly squeezed orange juice upon request. Guests help themselves to a full breakfast buffet with unique options, like rolled omelettes, stuffed tomatoes, vegetables, but there are also pastries and freshly made jams. I couldn’t have been happier with our experience.

If you like elegant antique ambiance this is the place to stay. Incredible attention to detail from the rooms to the lobby, breakfast was fantastic and staff couldn’t be more helpful and polite. Definitely coming back !

This hotel gets 5 stars in my book. The staff was welcoming as soon as we arrived and continued to be help throughout our stay. The rooms were old world elegant and so clean. The breakfast was world class, we have never had such large selections of food that were extremely delicious. They really go above and beyond to treat each of their guests like royalty.

This property is on top of the hill and has amazing views. The staff is welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was spectacular, so many choices and it was all delicious. The breakfast staff was helpful offering drinks and making sure we were taken care of. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom is quite large. Would give this hotel 4 stars.
