According to local tax regulation, effective from April 1, 2019, guests should pay accommodation tax surcharge directly to the property upon check-in (per person per night):

Accommodation tax of JPY 200 is charged at the property per person per night for room rate less than JPY 19,999.
Accommodation tax of JPY 500 is charged at the property per person per night for room rate of JPY 20,000 and over.
Guests are urgently requested to inform the property of their expected arrival time, at the time of booking.Guests arriving after check-in hours (20:30) cannot check-in to the property and will be considered as no-show. The total amount of the reservation will be charged.Credit card will be used for guarantee purposes only. When settling the bill, the property will accept cash only (in Japanese Yen).The luggage storage service will still be available to guests who have checked out. It will be available until 16:00.The front desk may be closed between 13:00 and 16:00.On-site parking requires a reservation at time of booking. There are other private parking spaces around the property, as well. Please inform Guest House Ochakare in advance of your expected arrival time.
