We loved our stay. Beautiful design that melds traditional Japanese architecture with modernism. Check in was super easy. Luggage elevator is a nice amenity. Fresh water and microwave in lobby. The room was beautiful, shower excellent, nice that we could open the window. Higher end Toto toilet, and many different lighting options. Refrigerator in room. Loved the area. Nice and quiet. Would definitely stay again.

We did a little more research before booking this accommodation because we wanted to spend a whole week in kyoto. The hotel lacks a counter, and checkin and checkout are selfservice. This was perfect for us, and we rarely met anyone there, making it a really peaceful place. Other reviews claimed that they didnt have enough towels for a longer stay, but that wasnt the case, we had lots and lots of towels in different sizes right under the sink. Yes, the rooms wont be cleaned during your stay, but this is something i find unnecessary for a few days. Our room was the ground floor right next to the lounge, with free water and amazing coffee from a nespresso machine. The room is very beautiful, with furniture made of real wood, indirect lighting, and even the garden can be illuminated. The shower, toilet, and sink are separated, making staying as a pair much easier. Its perfect in terms of location, close to the subway, bus, and many attractions, calm and charming by itself. We loved to walk around the little river. If you want to stay in kyoto and this accommodation is available, look no further!.

Lokasi hotel ini tidak lama setelah Stasiun Dongshan. Makanan di dekatnya juga sangat enak, ada McDonalds, Izakaya, tusuk sate, dll. Proses check-in mandiri juga sangat nyaman, menghilangkan banyak ketidaknyamanan dalam komunikasi bahasa. Kamar mandi, kamar dan tempat tidurnya juga cukup rapi dan bersih, saat memasuki kamar tercium bau kayu yang samar-samar. Hebatnya juga terdapat mesin kopi kapsul 24 jam yang dapat digunakan kapan saja dan di mana saja, sehingga sangat nyaman bagi para traveller. Saya sangat senang lokasi hotel ini tidak lama setelah Stasiun Dongshan.

Higashiyama hills is conveniently located in my favorite part of kyoto. To name a few, the streets of pontocho and heian jingu are all within walking distance of maruyama park. The hotels design is cozy, and the rooms are immaculate. With the nearby residential area and small alleys, it offers a truly genuine taste of kyoto. I heartily advise visitors staying for one day, but especially those staying for longer periods.

We had a nice stay overall. The only two issues we had were: 1.The air conditioning only worked properly the first night, so it got hot the rest of days. 2. The safe located in the closet does not work.
