This hotel is a perfect place to unwind after a busy day in Kyoto. All staff are kind and extremely generous with their assistance. We stayed in the Family Room with private balcony. What a treat! It was great having access to water, soda water, coffee, tea and other soda’s. A nice little touch. Amenities were available. A great location. Breakfast was a basic western meal but quite good! And, yes the room can be busy at times. But a great way to start the day ;)

We loved our stay in this hotel. Right across Kamo river. The amenities actually thought of everything we'd need. There's free breakfast that gets served from 7:30-9:30. But beverages are available 24/7. It's not too close to 7-11. But there are bikes available to "borrow" from the for free. So it made it easy for me to go and pick up something from the stores. The front desk staff are so friendly. I'd stay here again.

Check in was easy, we upgraded our rooms and were shown other rooms we could change to. Very clean all looks new. Free coffees, teas, soft drinks and ice lollies all day. Breakfast available too but had a selection of cereal, mixed fruit, croissants, bread and a pancake maker. Also had scrambled eggs, sausages. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

The hotel was awesome with friendly staff and clean room. The breakfast was great with the all day drinks, the only criticism is there was too many people at breakfast with not enough staff and resources to keep it stocked.

Everything was very smooth! A bit small but we didn’t mind. It had all the essentials as well as a washing machine (the drying process was a bit traditional but again we didn’t mind) and the receptionists (especially Hiro) were very accommodating and amazing! We would absolutely stay here again in the future as it is in a very convenient location

Big room with a separate shower/sink and toilet. Washer machine inside the bathroom was convenient. The shower turned into a dryer, which was cool. The breakfast was good. Staff was very friendly. I would stay here again and would recommend it to others. It's also well located.

英、仏、独語等が飛び交い国際色豊かなゲストの方々が多く、私達は特に外国語が得意ではありませんが多少のコミュニケーションを楽しむことが出来ました。部屋は広くて自炊設備や洗濯機があるし、浴槽も広く手足を伸ばしてゆったり入れました。屋上が開放されており、夕刻の鴨川と桜を眺めながら用意した酒を飲んだのですが、リーズナブルながらもとても最高でした。もっと長期滞在したいと思えるホテルです、また良い季節にリピートさせて頂こうと思っています。

Our number one highlight was the staff! Jeff (Ueno) and Hiro were so kind and nice to talk to every day of our stay. Both were very welcoming and willing to help in any way possible. We really loved the free bicycle usage and rode to 7-11 and along the river daily! However, when we reserved the room on Hotels.com it did not reflect what we thought we reserved. The photos did not match up and the amenities listed were inaccurate as well. It said it had an all in one washer/dryer and the room we got had only a washer and bathroom dryer system. It also said it had a toaster which it didn’t. We expressed our concern and the staff was able to relocate us to a little bigger room which was nice since we had 4 adults! We hope to see them posting on hotels.com to be corrected in a timely manner and reflect what people will get when they check into Hiyori Stay! Mahalo Nui Loa (thank you very much) from your guest from Hawaii! We truly miss you guys! We will be back mainly to visit you guys! ALOHA!🌺

This hotel lived up to its description. Spacious room, comfortable bunk beds that even teenagers enjoyed, a washing machine in the room was an added bonus. The daily free breakfast in the lounge was just right for gaining energy for the day. The lounge was open until midnight so we could enjoy the drinks and coffee as a family after a long day sighting. All the staff were super helpful and were able to guide us with recommendations. Worth it when traveling with a family of 8 or solo.
