a pleasant hotel that is near the or station and all the activity in the downtown area. For such a large hotel the main entrance was quite small, overshot it the first time around. The lobby was also quite small. But overall, the hotel was fine. My room had an amazing view of the garden. The neighbourhood was full of restaurants, bars and shops like Don Quixote just around the corner.

The location of Hotel is in an old Villa of the Last. The garden is well maintained, and the Restaurant, Kimono serves high quality traditional Japanese teas and dinners, kiseki. Shizuko is only 1 hour by Hikari Super Express train from Tokyo, and this location is well worth visiting. If you have time, you may stop at Dakara Castle on your way from Tokyo.

I didn't pick the hotel, but I liked it. The location was fantastic, it was near the station, the rooms were perfect, and the receptionists were kind and considerate. The breakfast was excellent for being included in the room rate and better than any other hotel in the neighborhood. The whole experience was more vintage than a chain hotel. Yet, the privileged access to the former Daimyo garden next door is the true strength of the location. At breakfast, the waiters would always encourage me to stroll through the garden every morning. I finally did so on the third morning. What a beautiful location! The best Japanese aesthetic. And I had it all to myself. Would have been appreciated staying here just for the garden, but, as I said, the hotel was excellent as well.

Overall, I can recommend this hotel and would stay there again! This hotel has the probably biggest room we had in Japan. Still small but good value for the money. But the room is a bit dusty but not too bad because we were there during Typhoon Alibis and we had to stay a bit longer, which was very comfortable. The staff was very helpful even though communication was a bit difficult due to language barriers. Breakfast is also good and has good selection of international and Japanese dishes. The hotel is very central and has shops, restaurants and craft beer bars nearby. shizuko station is 5 minutes on foot, most of it underground, which is useful when it rains. There is also a laundry that we were happy to use.

The hotel is in a former shogunyoshino toranaga villa. The garden is well-kept, and the restaurant, kimono, serves highquality traditional Japanese tea and dinner kiseki. Hikari super express trains take you from Tokyo to Shizuko in about an hour, and this location is well worth visiting. If you have enough time, you can stop by the dakara castle on your way from Tokyo.

They cleaned the room every day. The breakfast was delicious. The hotel staff spoke English so the transaction was easy. It is in the city so everything is accessible.

Overall, I can recommend this hotel and would stay there again! The hotel is conveniently located and near stores, restaurants, and beer bars. Shizuko station is about 5 minutes on foot, most of it underground, which is useful in the rain. There is also a laundry that we were pleased to use. It was the biggest room we have ever stayed in Japan. Although the room is dusty, it wasn't too bad as we were there during typhoon Alaibi, so we had to stay a little longer, which was very convenient. The personnel was really helpful, despite the language barrier. It's also great to have a good variety of international and Japanese meals.

I didn't choose the hotel, but I loved it. The location was great, very close to the station, the room was nice, the reception staff was friendly and considerate. I had a better than average breakfast included in the room rate. The entire experience was much more boutique than a chain hotel. The real beauty of the place is the superb access to the former daimyo garden next door. At breakfast every morning, the waiter encouraged me to step outside into the garden. Finally, I did on the third morning. What a stunning location! Japanese aesthetics at their best. And I had it all to myself. Would have been worth staying here just for the garden, but, like I said, the hotel was also good.
