The breakfast is a traditional japanese dish that is both excellent and delectable, although it is somewhat outdated. However, the food is varied and has varying taste. The service is commendable and offers enchanting views!.

The old hotel is very tasteful. Despite the facilities being old, the overall facilities are good. The dinner is also very good and it is in a japanese style. It is recommended to visit the hot spring pool to see mount fuji.

The hotel is situated in a remote area, and the facilities are rather outdated. The rooms have undergone renovations, which is reshaping. Although the staff didnt inform you that the hotels hot springs are taxed, the hotel does offer hot showers.

I reserved it for a friend. Although it is an old fourstar hot spring hotel, the room is spacious and the westernstyle room feels cozy. The hot water is excellent. Next time i visit hakone, ill choose this hotel.

The hotel is quite old, but it has everything and the Japanese breakfast that comes with the hotel stay is pretty good. I particularly liked the different flavoured bread. We had a slice of each berry and green tea toast and they tasted like berries and blue tea. It has shady fog the day we went so it made us feel tepid.

The room is very comfortable and spacious, with a view of mount fuji. The public pool is rarely used by people, so it is reserved for private use, to enjoy the bath. Dinner is also very rich and the dishes are very special.

We are very happy with our stay at kagetsuen and highly recommend this hotel! I will just highlight some highlights. The room is well sized and very comfortable, cleaned daily and even too much as they insist on changing the bed linen daily, which is completely unnecessary, private mineral baths for which we never had to wait or make a reservation, very good breakfast with lots of options, friendly staff, exceptional cleanliness, 1 minute walk from the bus stop but we also walk to museums and villages, and finally, mt. Fujis breathtaking view! Its true that the hotel is not very new, but the furniture and design from ten years ago give it hints of nostalgia. Where else in the world do you have idiot phone from which you can call international calls and call other rooms? As ive already said, everything is functional, so we enjoyed our visit very much, thank you! The only thing is that japan is still operating under covid rules, therefore there are several precautions you encounter nowhere else, however, the motel cannot decide on this alone, as most people wear masks even when walking outside.

Good location, about a 10minute walk from togendai station. The room was basic but comfortable enough to sleep well. Free snacks were provided in the room. Private onsen was spacious and perfect for relaxing and showering, although only 4 private rooms are available and there may be queues. Buffet breakfast tasted great, with dozens of both japanese and western dishes to choose from.

The breakfast and dinner were both satisfactory. Although the hotel is a little outdated, i believe it is still in need of renovation. I didnt spend much time in the onsen because it was deemed incredibly unclean due to dust and other issues. There is no shampoo or conditioner in each room or toilet. If you are traveling to togendai station 3, o bus station away from the motel, the location is easily accessible.
