The hotel is conveniently situated on the bus route from the train stop. But from the road, it's a little difficult to detect from the road because the lobby is on the elevated level, so you'll need to climb some stairs to get to the reception. It's a shame that the decor didn't extend to the rest of the hotel, which appeared to be rather worn. A spacious, old-fashioned bathroom with thin narrow towels for Japan was present. The bathroom had a cork floor and a long sink surround, which was suitable for toiletries etc. The bath was short and not particularly deep. However, there was an unusual ledge inside the bathroom that was a travel hazard. a hard bed with Japanese-style seed pillows was there. My two-door cameras and my iPad were easily accessible from the room safe. However, there was no shelving and the air conditioning was very ineffective. Can was the only Englishlanguage channel. There were no bedside tables, only a ledge with a light. But at least there were 2 chairs and a desk chair in the room. The room had poor, dim lighting and you could hear your neighbors through the wall. The concierge was incredibly helpful and helped me book a bus ticket and checked the route I planned to take in case it had been damaged by the typhoon. There is a starbucks on the ground level

I give this hotel one star because the management had turned off the air conditioning and only air was coming into the room and all guests we recommended open the only window in the room. We could hear the large air conditioning unit in the next building and it was quite hot outside. The bedroom was refurbished except the bathroom needs work. I didn't like the communal bottles of soap, shampoo, etc. We always take our own soap, etc. I give the staff 5 stars because they were very proffessional epically the head concierge. The Japanese breakfast was five stars and the Japanese breakfast at the maris dor restaurant was primarily Japanese, which is why we went to Japan to eat their food.

A cool place in Kanazawa. The Tokyo Hotel was in a good location and offered what we expected from a hotel of this caliber. The rooms were well appointed but we found the rooms to be warm at night because they had the central heating going on. They brought us a fan the second night which helped.
