The inn is truly remarkable. We spent the night in a Japanesestyle room on the second floor, which was very roomy and equipped with everything we needed, including air conditioning, sanitizer, towels, bedding, television, and other amenities. The futons were exceptionally comfortable. I found it extremely easy to fall asleep because of how warm i was. Its tranquil downstairs lounge area. There is tasty furnishings, books to read, seating space, etc. To keep visitors warm! The complimentary private onsen was also incredibly relaxing and spacious. Both the hamburger dinner and the japanese breakfast were excellent, making it enjoyable to enjoy the zen garden while eating. Excellent english was spoken by the staff, who were all amazingly kind and helpful. Although he wasnt named, there was opulent young man who checked us in, cooked all of our meals, made all our dishes, answered our questions, among other things. He was greatly appreciated. A lovely hotel decorated in the japanese style, with a lovely garden, reeking in your living room, hot springs, and spacious bedrooms. Near the bath area are likewise yogi and opulent massage chairs. The entire hotel staff provided excellent customer service, who were so kind as to offer us courtesy transportation to hakone shrine when we asked for directions on teetering day.4.8/58 Dec 2023

Beautiful garden, quiet and serene lodging. There are 5 of us, and instead of booking 2 rooms, they allowed us to add a futon for Y 5150. We stayed in room 204, which had savoring views of the garden! The receptionists are very helpful and speak english. Our belongings were left at the hotel. They got in touch with me and assisted us in posting it to our next hotel excellent customer service. For breakfast, we paid y 900 per person. When you check in, you can schedule your breakfast. Two options, either western or japanese. It was delicious for us when we had dinner in the jap. Onsens have private spaces. From 4 pm to 9.50 oclock, sessions can be scheduled from 4 pm to 9 pm. Each time slot is 40 minutes. The left onsan is much nicer and larger. Only two adults can fit in this tiny right onses. However, since reservations are not required, the onsol is first come, first served. Parking is available next to the lodging if you are traveling by car.4.8/518 Oct 2023

I spent one night here with my wife and my 12yearold. The inn is very beautiful, the front of the japanese gravel garden faces the hills. It has a lovely autumn color. Onsen bath is refreshing. Friendly staff who speak good english also helps. In the morning, we were taken up mountain by ferries from the shuttle bus to go to Gora.4.8/525 Jun 2023

The onsen they have there is wellmaintained and spacious, with specific times for each room to reserve a time. If you dont have plans, i recommend the japanese breakfast as it was delicious and worth the price. The location is not central to hakone and tucked away, but the views are beautiful and the rooms are small but clean. Bathroom shared with others and simple so not for those who arent into hostel experience. I would definitely stay here again.4.6/523 Apr 2024

It is comparable to the nicest hostel in the world, but with spacious private rooms and a magical private onsen. Dinner and breakfast are served in this adorable shared lobby. The staff was extremely helpful and kind, going above and beyond to assist us at all times. However, the only drawback is the distance it takes to walk from graja station. I recommend either calling cabi (only $7 usd on the goapp) or taking the bus to their bottom of their hill. Its well worth the trek!.4.6/56 Feb 2024

Highly recommended, had the most amazing stay here! The lounge and garden area are beautiful, and to top it off, you can reserve a private session at the onsen. The staff and owner are very friendly, especially the free shuttle to gora. Wanted to do sightseeing after checkout, so it was easy to have my luggage sent to the hakone yumoto station (forwarding service is extra).4.6/51 Aug 2023

The asante inn in hakone is a hidden gem, and for the price, i believe it is unmatched. We had no idea how many things in this area worked, but the staff was extremely kind and friendly, they were helpful in explaining everything to us. The inhouse itself is very cozy, comfortable, inviting, reasonably priced food. Although ive got to say that the left side onsen is far superior to the right side, both were excellent onses considering we didnt have to pay for service. They offer onsite shuttle bus services to gora station, which was really helpful because it's largely rural area and getting around with bags can be quite tiring given the mountainous terrain! Overall, stay at asant innes is an excellent value packed deal. Very happy customers!.4.6/53 Jul 2023

The hostel is pleasant! The onsen, or hot spring, is incredibly pleasant, and the environment is favorable. It would be preferable if the hostel informed us in advance that they wouldnt open the public onyen the day we visited. There is free use of a massage chair in the hotel. Although i find the food to be quite good, it is somewhat pricey. A 711 is within walking distance for ten minutes. The staff here are excellent and speak fluent english. Note that getting here requires 20 minutes because this hostel doesnt have commuting from the station. We only know there is one after checking in because there arent much information about the hotels transportation.4.6/528 Jun 2023

We had a great time at the asante inn. It was wonderful to stay somewhere so lovely and quiet after leaving bustling tokyo. After sweltering day of exploring hakone, the private onsen on site was ideal, and the location was perfect. The staff is undoubtedly the best part of this establishment. The guesthouse is brand new, easy to find, and has parking in front of it. Amazing location! Even though we only stayed one night, it was fantastic! It was a real pleasure to have the owner and staff so helpful! We had dinner and talked, they are really nice! Our room was lovely, decorated in jig style with tatamis and futons, offering sweeping views of mount fujima and the Japanese garden, both of which are stunning. The onsen was another excellent feature. We thoroughly enjoyed it in private. Although shared bathrooms, each one is fresh and spotless. I would highly recommend this hotel and would book it again if i returned to the hakone region! I spent three nights in one of the japanese private rooms here. The room was large and comfortable. Its unfortunate that it rained the entire time, but the hotel is tidy and inviting. Id have liked to have coffee on the terrace! Every morning and night, ive been there, and the onsen was wonderful. My dinner here was delicious, especially the potato salad and gyozas that ill be eating in the lounge! Each member of staff was friendly and helpful. In spite of being a little walk from the station, there was tasty shuttle service every day.4.4/526 May 2024
