夕食と朝食がバイキングで好き嫌いが多い子供には食べ物の選択肢が多くて助かりました！ チェックアウトしてホテルを出るときにフロント、従業員から『ありがとうございました！』と言う言葉がなかったので残念でした。 従業員の人数が少ないのかな？みなさん忙しそうでした。 それ以外は、満足できました。

For one night as a group of 5, we stayed in a Japanese style tatami room on a recent vacation to the region. The hotel was tired and looked it from the outside, despite the beautiful room with garden views and spacious bathroom for a Japanese room. Also, the location being about 2 kilometers and a half away from the old, worn hot springs area was a little awkward. In the post-war era, this hotel was fashionable and now caters to the elderly generation for reunions, etc., which is an incredible experience. The onset of the boxspring in the hotel is an experience in this environment. However, I thought the hotel was expensive for what it offered as many Japanese accommodations in the area tend to only provide meal packages and hotel deals, which can be expensive when traveling in a group. There were other hotels within the small town that offered a more traditional feel and conveniences. One drawback of the rooms was the heating and air conditioning, which could not be turned off, and made sleeping uncomfortable and dehydrating even when the window was opened.

We took the shinkansen to Koriyama in mid April, then a local or train to Aizuwakamatsu, where we were welcomed by the hotels courtesy vehicle and taken to the hotel. We booked online before leaving Australia so we chose to reserve one of the three suites with its own private outdoor bath. Our rooms consisted of two traditional Japanese rooms with tatami and a separate toilet and washing machine attached to the private outdoor bath. For those who don't want to bathe outdoors, there is a large indoor bath, also known as a japanese term. The onset bath had a continuous hot spring water flow, and both hot and cold taps to regulate water temperature. The bath had a view of a traditional Japanese garden and a nice view of the surrounding mountains. The hotel has a dinner and breakfast menu with more than 150 distinct dishes, of which we tried 20 at both dinner and breakfast. Both are included in the fee. The food was very delicious, healthy, and fresh. As an unexpected advantage, the hotel made arrangements to take guests to see the illuminated cherry trees at tsuruga castle after dinner. This castle is a must see! It has been rebuilt with the visitor in mind, is full of information about the area and the castle, and is accessible for disabled visitors.
