My husband and I had an excellent stay here! Most comfortable bed that we had between all of our hotels in Japan. But mostly, the staff was excellent. They truly went above and beyond, and are so kind and helpful. The only cons I can think of is that the breakfast is on the average side, but certainly enough food, and that the laundry drier takes forever. But then again, at least there was a laundry room and was free. Super convenient location as well, able to walk to the lift every day. Would definitely stay here again if we return!

This hotel was great. The room was spacious, comfortable and had a great view. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb. The Japanese Emporer stayed at The Ridge during the Nagano Winter Olympics.

Absolutley beautiful property in a great location. The convenient location is opposite Rhythm Snowsports and a short walk to the complimentary bus service for transport around the various Hakuba ski resorts. The staff were completely lovely and very easy to talk to and the room was in great condition and very spacious for my partner and I. Will definitely be returning.

The staff were wonderful and very accommodating. The room was just what we needed and it was nice having a little kitchen area. Couldn't beat the view from the large windows either! Location was perfect for just a short walk to Happo One. Super convenient. Definitely reccommend this property!!

Very clean. Good location within walking distance of Happo One lifts. Simple buffet style breakfast…not North American style gluttony but more then enough for most. Room had simple kitchen with fridge, microwave and hot plate. You will need to use hotel shuttle or free Hakuba shuttle to access onsens, grocery stores, a lot of restaurants and any ski areas other then Happo One.

今回2家族10名で210号室(デラックスアパートメント)に宿泊しました。部屋はとても広く、清潔で快適でした。他の部屋と離れているので、とても静かでした。スタッフの方は片言の日本語ですが、とても感じが良く、親切でした。白馬八方尾根スキー場まで歩いていけるので便利です。また宿泊したいです。

This hotel is awesome, first of all the interior is very tasteful and chic. The front desk people were polite, cooperative, friendly and provided us with a for Japan unimaginable service....they let us check out late....really late. We left in the morning to go skiing and returned late in the afternoon and we were allowed to use our room for a shower. Fantastic unforgettable service! The nearest ski area was closed due to covid, but happo ski area is a 10 minute walk away or you can take the shuttle bus. The happo ski area is aimed at intermediate and upper intermediate skiiers and the atmosphere is not that good. You can however go to the other nearby ski areas which all have free parking and are much better for boarding and or beginners and kids. We will surely stay here again, thank you for everything! Nice clean large rooms with large windows with nice views of surrounding forest and Happo-One. Right across the street from ski rental shop (Rhythm) and very short drive to ski lifts. Staff very helpful and courteous. The only downside was the closed hotel restaurant during my stay due to COVID-19 consequences. Small inconvenience, there are other options in Hakuba. Will return for sure on my next trip to Hakuba.

I just booked for the next year and am looking forward to staying at the ridge again. Over the Chinese New Year, I spent six nights at the ridge and had a wonderful time. We stayed in room 206, a standard hotel room, which was the only one available when we reserved six months in advance. The room was fantastic, more spacious than we anticipated and more comfortable than the photos on the website. The bed was extremely comfortable, and there was plenty of storage space. The underground ski storage and drying room were fantastic. Although we had planned to eat out in other locations during our stay, we really liked the restaurant and had dinner there three nights in a row. The bread and butter pudding dessert was just so delicious. The hotel's position, opposite the ski shuttle bus and rhythm snow sport for ski rentals, is ideal. The walk to ski slopes is not too far either, 510 minutes in ski boots. The staff was the best thing about the hotel. Thank you nadia and her team for organizing everything, were friendly and helpful, and the free excursions to the supermarket were great. The waiter and bartenders were very nice.

We stayed in a hotel room on the ridge for 10 nights and had a great time. Our room was enormous beautifully furnished and as peaceful as a church. Unusually for Japan, the room had plenty of storage space with cupboards, closets, and shelves plentiful. The western breakfast buffet that changed every other day was excellent, although it might have been nice to see a Japanese option sometimes a Japanese clientele who apparently almost exclusively Australasian, perhaps the reason why they dont. They have barista coffee available for a fee, but we found the coffee available from the cafe in the rhythm across the street to be better. The hotel common areas are small, but they are lovely. The Kokusai lifts are within a 10-minute walk from the hotel and there is a shuttle bus stop right outside the door. The walk into town takes just a short while, and there are plenty of dining and drinking options. The hotels bar, which is open from 430, is quite pleasant and drinks are very affordable. One evening, we had a meal at the restaurant, which was fine but unusual. There are several dining options youll want to try anyway. The staff were all really friendly. While we were skiing, our room was always fully serviced and always immaculate. Highly recommended and we will certainly return.

The employees at the ridge were wonderful and extremely helpful during our week-long stay in mid-january. We were two families traveling together, had booked the four-bedroom apartment. Unfortunately, one of the kids was sick nadia her staff was fantastic, arranging medical assistance, driving the child his parent to the local doctor, and arranging ski snowboard lessons for our group of eight. Dinner reservations supermarket runs. We had three dinners in the restaurant and a hearty, cooked breakfast every morning before going out on a day of skiing boarding. Our apartment was cozy and warm, with 2 bathrooms, toilets, a full kitchen, and a comfortable beds. We could also take the free shuttle bus, which was a 2-minute walk from the hotel and stroll to the accidented slope from the hotel. The ski locker drying room was in the basement, and the best part was when we left, the rental equipment was taken out by the rental company. If we were in hakuna, we wouldn't think twice about returning.

It was our first visit to the ridge, and it was amazing. The setting is stunning, and from the perspective of lodging, the rooms and beds were very comfy. The buffet was excellent, setting you up for a fantastic day of skiing or just taking in the local restaurants. There are many excellent amenities, including a ski locker and a laundry. The staff was so friendly that they escort you to dinner and suggest which restaurants to eat. The games room is a great place for the kids to relax and play games. Also very convenient is the antlers restaurant. Overall, the ridge is a fantastic location, and we always like to go back.
