The Royal Park Hotel Iconic Kyoto

According to local tax regulation, effective from October 1, 2018, guests should pay accommodation tax surcharge directly to the property upon check-in (per person per night):　
Tax JPY 200 - for room rate of JPY 19,999 and under per night.　
Tax JPY 500 - for room rate between JPY 20,000 and JPY 49,999 per night.　
Tax JPY 1,000 - for room rate of JPY 50,000 and over per night.
As of 1 March 2026, changed local tax regulations require guests to pay accommodation tax at updated rates, which will be collected separately by the property during the check-in process. The tax is determined by the room rate and is charged per person, per night, as follows: 

【Accommodation tax through 28 February 2026】  
For room rates less than JPY 20,000: JPY 200   
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 500   
For room rates of JPY 50,000 or more: JPY 1,000  

【Accommodation tax from 1 March 2026, onwards】  
For room rates less than JPY 6,000: JPY 200   
For room rates from JPY 6,000 to less than JPY 20,000: JPY 400  
For room rates from JPY 20,000 to less than JPY 50,000: JPY 1,000   
For room rates from JPY 50,000 to less than JPY 100,000: JPY 4,000 
For room rates of JPY 100,000 or more: JPY 10,000   

For the purposes of the accommodation tax, the term “accommodation fee” will refer to the room-only rate, excluding any meal charges and consumption tax.  
Please settle the payment at the hotel upon check-in.
Children under 5 years old can stay free of charge only when sharing a bed with an adult. One child per adult is allowed to share a bed, and any additional children will incur a fee.
Up to 1 child can sleep with a regular bed, excluding extra beds.
If the reservation exceeds the maximum occupancy for the room, you may be required to rebook or change rooms. Any difference in cost will be borne by the guest.
Notice of New Construction Work on the Land Adjacent to the North Side of the Hotel
New construction work will be carried out on the land adjacent to the north side of our hotel during the period below.
Scheduled start date: May 1, 2026 (Friday)
Scheduled completion date: March 31, 2028 (Friday) (tentative)
Construction period: Approximately 23 months from the start date
Working hours: 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
(An additional approximately 30 minutes before and after working hours will be used for preparation and cleaning.)
Please note:
No work will be carried out on Sundays, public holidays, and the following dates:
August 15, 2026 (Saturday)
December 30, 2026 (Wednesday) to January 4, 2027 (Monday)
August 16, 2027 (Monday)
December 30, 2027 (Thursday) to January 4, 2028 (Tuesday)
During the construction period, construction noise may be heard depending on the time of day.
