【Notice Regarding Introduction of Nagano Prefecture Accommodation Tax】

Thank you very much for your continued patronage of Ueda Tokyu REI Hotel.

Nagano Prefecture will introduce an accommodation tax from June 1, 2026, to fund the enhancement of tourism resources, improvement of the environment for travelers, and other tourism promotion initiatives.
This tax will apply to all stays at our hotel from the same date.

■ Start Date of Taxation
Applicable to stays from June 1, 2026 onward
The tax will be applied even if the reservation and prepayment were completed before this date, as long as the stay is on or after June 1

■ Tax Amount
JPY 300 per person, per night
For the first three years of the system (June 1, 2026 – May 31, 2029): JPY 200 per person, per night

■ Tax Exemption Threshold
No tax will be charged if the accommodation fee (room only, excluding tax) is less than JPY 6,000 per person, per night*

■ Tax Exemption
Tax exemption is available upon submission of a certificate from the principal or facility director in the following cases:
Stays for educational or research activities by kindergartens, elementary schools, junior high schools, high schools, or universities
Stays for events organized by childcare facilities
Stays for events organized by free schools certified by the head of a local government or board of education

■ Payment of Accommodation Tax
In principle, the tax will be collected at check-in.

Check-in is not possible after 01:00 AM.
Starting 1 June 2026, changes in local tax regulations will require guests to pay an Accommodation Tax at various updated rates, which will be collected separately by the property at check-in. The tax is determined based on the room rate and is charged per person, per night, as follows: 【Accommodation Tax from 1 June 2026, onwards】 For room rates less than JPY 6,000: None For room rates JPY 6,000 or more: JPY 300 (*JPY 200 for the first 3 years after the program starts) *For the purposes of the accommodation tax, the term “room rate” shall refer to the room-only rate, excluding meal charges and consumption tax. * Please settle the payment at the hotel upon check-in, even if you have paid by credit card in advance. *Applicable conditions for taxes, etc. are determined by each local government. 【Notice of Exterior Wall Inspection and Repair Work】

To enhance the safety of the building, exterior wall inspection and repair work will be carried out as outlined below.
While every effort will be made to ensure safety and provide guidance to guests, there may be some inconvenience due to construction noise, odors, or work being conducted near windows.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but as these are essential inspections and repairs for building safety, we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

【Work Period】
June 1, 2026 (Mon) – Around the end of October 2026 (scheduled)
Working hours: 8:30 – 17:30 (including work that generates noise)
The period may be extended depending on weather conditions and the state of the exterior walls

【Work Details】
Tapping inspection of exterior walls (inspection by tapping the wall surface)
Exterior wall repair work
Replacement of sealing materials, etc*

【Important Notes】
During the construction period, gondolas, scaffolding, and aerial work platforms will be installed and moved as needed.
Noise and odors from paint or sealing materials may occur during scaffolding assembly/disassembly and sealing work.
As workers and gondolas may pass outside the windows, please refrain from opening windows and keep roller blinds or curtains closed during working hours.
Intermittent noise and vibrations may occur due to the tapping inspection of the exterior walls.*
