Stayed there for a weekend with friends, it was lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Friendly and professional staff (front office, house keeping, restaurant)45, who went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. They have an amazing pool.
They listen to clients / customers.
The stay was worth it and I will definitely visit again and again

We had two very positive experiences at Hunters Lodge. We unexpectedly found ourselves there after car troubles. They were very caring, helping me find a room very quickly within our budget with two very tied young children. A very clean, well kept place. Good food and fun swimming pool for children. Just the TV’s don’t seem to have no channels, which is always a bonus when traveling with kids. I definitely recommend this place!

The rooms are clean, spacious and fitted with good lamu design wood work.
The food is amazing. Good portions and filling.
The service is fast and warm.
The pool was closed but is very big and inviting.
The lodge has many lots of wildlife around, monkeys, birds, ducks on their pond. Lots of chirping sounds around.

Spent the night on return to Nairobi from Makindu. The hotel facilities are good. The establishment does seem a little understaffed, staff however are very helpful and responsive. The hotel can also do more to get more room occupants, the pool for instance is a great family attraction and proximity to the Tsavo east and West can also help their case. It is more than just a place to break your journey, have a beverage and continue.

Lovely after, professional and friendly staff who are very polite. Enjoyed an excellent meal. Chef Kamau does lovely roast chicken. Management staff very accessible and costs very affordable. Very accessible from the main Mombasa Road.
