The arcadia lodge in russell will host greg and peter at the last of our visit. It was well worth the wait, in my opinion. The hotel, which is built on ancient whale bones and dates back a number of centuries, was remodeled in the past few years as a terrific lodge with individual rooms and views. They are incredibly considerate and provide you with everything you need for a peaceful and relaxing stay. Greg provides lodging information and dining options throughout the day, and peter prepares some of the funniest brunches while Greg gives you tips for visiting and evening dining options if the weather is nice. Additionally, they have a wide variety of local wines that you can purchase for a very affordable price. Our two-night visit was fantastic. Since we recognize that they serve family gatherings, etc., we are now planning to bring more family members next year. We look forward to seeing them again in the not too distant future. Bravo, gents!.

We had an amazing 2 days at arcadia lodge. The location is great, quiet yet walking distance from the center of russell. The hosts, greg and Peter, are kind and helpful, and they shared many menus and excursions, all of which were fantastic. The breakfasts were delicious and served on a terrace with a wonderful view of the boats on the water. The room was tastefully decorated, clean, and comfortable, with lots of nice touches. We would not hesitate to visit again or recommend it to others.

During our stay here, we got a beautiful accommodation, which was very spacious and well-equipped. The hotel's host was greg peter, who were also very kind and informative about the area, and this made us much better. I would definitely come back here again.

The atmosphere was so amazing, so it was perfect for us to find the perfect weekend getaway. And then, Peter always serves delicious food and Gregory provides great music options in order to fit the surroundings. This is our second visit and we will definitely come back.

Arcadia Lodge is one of the best i's and tiny inns we've stayed in over the years. Greg and Peter's 1902 home has been beautifully restored and decorated and is located on a beautiful hillside garden overlooking Matauwhi Bay. Our groundfloor bunga suite included a spacious bedroom and bathroom, a beautiful sunroom, and access to a private end of the lodge's huge wraparound deck overlooking the bay. Arcadia is located on the calm side of russell but only a walk down matauwhi road takes you to the busy side of town, with a busy waterfront, beaches, pier, museums, shops, and restaurants. Russell, once the capital of New Zealand, is a lovely, charming little howfar less commercialized than Pasha, an alternative base for exploring the bay of islands. The passenger ferry service to Russellpaihia is cheap, frequent, and takes 15 minutes. Must sees include pompallier mission, flagstaff hill, and mata estate vineyard on the russell side. Arcadia lodge clearly stands above russell's rivalry. Greg and peter are fantastic hosts. Peters breakfast is amazing, amazing works of art, and easily lasted us till supper. Overall, our arcadia stay was absolutely perfect in every way, just a total class act that I'm sure always remember

About Arcadia Lodge

Arcadia Lodge is a Bay of Islands landmark, a historic house dating from c1902. It sits in a magnificent position looking out over Russell's tranquil Matauwhi Bay so enjoys stunning water views. We have five rooms. Three spacious suites downstairs with private decks and magnificent views of the bay while upstairs are two more rooms, one with water views and one without. One of the downstairs can accommodate to four people by arrangement. The lodge has free car parking and is a short easy stroll to the village's restaurants, cafes, beaches and wharf.
