This place has an excellent location. The staff is outstanding. There is a wide variety of food and beverages at reasonable prices. It is neat and organized. I had the most amazing time at seafood chowder, with cheesy garlic and herb bread.

I will definitely return! Before returning home, i stopped by for a few bar snacks and sips. On tasty days, there is an excellent outdoor space that is open. Bar snacks were delicious and reasonably priced, and the bar staff was friendly.

I stopped by today and i must say that the whitebait fritter sandwich was delicious. We had dinner at another couple of restaurants in akaroa, and this place provided us with the best service and food, especially for the price. The food was also delicious, loaded with bait, plus the bread was fresh and delicious!.

I had a wonderful time at the grand hotel. The room was tidy, and the bathroom and shower were nice. Fantastic service and menu. Ill definitely be back.

I had a wonderful time. The food was delicious and came out quickly. Both the service and the drinks were excellent. I enjoyed playing pool while waiting for the dinner service to begin and would definitely come back and recommend it.

I went to the grand for lunch and my partner had lamb salad, both of which were excellent. Great outdoor area and game area for kids, it was so good i returned and had dinner tonight. I highly recommend trying the mussels.

This was why we chose it even though it wasnt in the center of akaroa. We made the trip with our mini club, so it was ideal for us all to find supper together on our new years eve trip. I had the fish tacos, which were just as delicious as i had anticipated. The only thing that could have been improved on would have be if the meal ordering system had been more streamlined because there was hardly any line or wait, but there were many people wanting food. Despite being busy and our group being sized appropriately, the food came out really quickly. Will definitely go back and will be aware of the giant connect 4 when ive visit the kids again.
