It’s a marina, and a cute and friendly one. Room isn’t very clean and feels slightly torn up (holes in wall, sliding glass door without a handle) but also feels safe and comfortable

We only stayed one night here, but it was a great experience. The room was simple and although small was nicely put together, comfortable, and clean. It also has has either a view of the marina or the jungle behind the hotel depending on which side of the inn you are on. Since it is a re-purposed building and not built as a hotel it is really more like an inn. There is no lobby as it works side by side with the actual marina, so check in is actually in the restaurant. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Any questions we had were answered quickly, and if we needed something they did their best to help out. It is close to Fort San Lorenzo, Colon, and the Atlantic side of the Panama Canal. Oh and the food....fabulous! Shelter Bay Marina is here primarily to serve the boating community, but if you are looking for something unique, comfortable, close to some interesting sights, but not in the middle of the city, it is worth a stop!

We adore the exclusive, isolated setting, where only a few rooms on the first level overlook the harbor. Many commentators claim that these rooms may use some fresh paint. Yes, but then, they are clean, nicely equipped with facilities, and most importantly, silent air conditioners. Fort San Lorenzo and Colony, both just 10 minutes away and one that offers the luxury of a little peace and quiet with a pool, are all only a 10-minute drive away. Our thoughts and prayers are with our son, Klaus, and me.

To visit Fort Sherman and the nearby beaches, we stayed here. The harbor is lovely. The majority of the people staying there are aboard boats at the marina. You must take some time to navigate the numerous potholes since the road to get there isn't ideal. The hotel was spotless, but it wasn't tidy at all. A window wouldn't completely close and the shower had mildew. The pool was fantastic. The eatery and bar were both excellent. In addition, a small shop is available for items that are required. The nearby beaches were incredibly gorgeous. The amount of plastic that was sunk on the shore was the sole issue. The water was extremely clean and crystal clear.

The food is average, the prices are low, and the service is below average. I can make my boat better food for a fraction of the cost and have better service. Pizza was disappointing, and I had to wait an extra hour. Marine services and staff are fantastic!.
