My wife and i had a great time and would highly recommend this to anyone looking for sanitizing stay in Harpers Ferry. Chris and his wife were very accommodating and wonderful hosts.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the stonehouse and are eager to return! On our bike trip from pgh to dc, my husband and i stayed as a treat to celebrate his birthday. The 'new room was fantastic for us. It was wonderful to sit on the porch and take in the scenery. I also enjoy seeing trains pass through and out of town. They even have earplugs for you if you dont like trains. But we adore them! Cass prepared us incredibly tasty, hearty breakfast that kept us up for our final 60 miles on trail. She was also able to talk to me. Stonehouse has such enchanting and historic character with excellent modern updates. Im really looking forward to returning.

A wonderful retreat that i will return to! Wonderful location in a peaceful, historic, and stunning mountain town. Chris and leisel are excellent owners and operators, who prepared an amazing breakfast (see photos). The new room was spacious, airconditioned, with reversible ceiling fans and surrounded by vistas of Maryland Heights, the river, or the train station.

We stayed here for one night while traveling to D. C. Via bike along the candO towpath. The owners met our requirement for bicycle storage. We were staying in the gray room, which was very spacious and had a super comfortable bed. I loved having tv in my room and i had my own private bathroom. Although we didnt spend much time in common areas, it was nice to have both indoor and outdoor spaces with access to games, books, etc. Breakfast was delicious! As cyclists, ive only wished there was more variety.

We had a wonderful time at the stonehouse bandb, which is conveniently located in the center of Harpers Ferry. Its the ideal location for escaping dodge for the weekend! The little amenities and cleanliness were appreciated by us. Chris prepared savory breakfasts for us outside on the porch. We will definitely return.

We only stayed for one night, but that one evening was wonderful. Our bed was comfortable, the shower had good pressure, and the location was perfect. Chris, our host, made me feel completely at home. Kane, his dog, was fantastic and an excellent host. The breakfast was amazing! I wish i could have taken a picture to upload it here, however my husband and ive been doing resynchronic data detox and our phones were left behind. He served delicious shortcakes layered with cream, granola, fresh berries! Cooking for my spouse and me is challenging because my wife and we both have dietary restrictions. This challenge was accepted by him and was victorious. We hope to return in the late spring or early summer because we hear its lovely!.

We stopped in on a Sunday and oh boy, parking is crazy in Harpers Ferry. We were lucky and had gotten onsite at this bandb, but friends who joined us spent 45 minutes looking for something. There is naivety at the national park, however, it stops running at 5 pm, so it would have taken 2 miles or 43 minutes to walk there. I was very grateful to have reserving idly. Even before checkin, as the previous parties had already left, we were even able to park here because we lucked out and the prior parties were already gone. The bandBs public area is really cool and tastefully decorated. If you needed something to do other than look at their breathtaking views of harpers ferries, there is plenty of seating and an assortment of games to play. When we checked in, the owners werent present, yet they had an excellent system for us to use. On friday night, feb., our lastminute reservation for saturday evening was made for me, and we are delighted they were unable to accommodate us. This was quite convenient because so many band Bs dont appear to reserve one night. Our topfloor room was much larger than he had anticipated being on the top floor. My wife and i stayed in the new room for two nights for a weekend mini vacation and fell in love with the place. The room was charming and the atmosphere was perfect. Very clean and temperature controlled. Chris, the owner, is an amazing guy and fun to talk to, and his breakfasts are delicious and rival any 5 star hotel chef breakfast. We were impressed from top to bottom at this bed and breakfast and highly recommend it to everyone and will return.

The stonehouse bandb is conveniently located in the lower part of town. It is close to restaurants and stores. And you cant beat the view from the new room. Simply breathtaking. Both mornings we were there, we had fantastic breakfasts. Chris and the housekeeper provided excellent hospitality. Very affordable given the amenities. Weve already reserved our next visit, and im confident we will return many more times.

I cant think of anything to complain about. The room and bathroom were both spotless and cozy. Breakfasts were excellent and above standard, yet they served comfort foods. This is the place to stay if youre searching for a bed and breakfast in harpers ferry. There is everything to do there within walking distance. If you are an introverted person like me, the owner is very friendly and welcoming, open to talking, and gives you your space. Plus, theres i have gotten yay for my introversion.

We stayed at stonehouse during a cold spell and Chris made sure we were all warm and comfortable during our stay. He went out of his way to make sure mom, dad and son had sanitizing experience by making tepid breakfasts and hanging around to chat by the fire for the longest time. Mom grew up in the area and she and he had an excellent conversation about local government and old times. We respect his hard work - i did the restoration of this wonderful structure himself & admire his minimalist aesthetic in decor. As we left, we found him in front garden processing meat in his homemade smoker. How cool is that? We hope to stay again this month. If we are lucky, hen will have room.

Neat bandb with a rustic vibe. Would have liked more time to play board games and hang out. Comfortable couches and great back decks with swing benches for relaxing. Chris, the owner, made delicious breakfast every morning. He provided entertaining stories as he cooked and we drank coffee and planned our days. Perfect location to explore the town and access nearby trails.

My husband and i stayed in this bed and breakfast the day after our wedding. We are not going to take a honeymoon until later in the year, so we were looking for secluded and romantic places to spend the first 24 hours before returning to our normal lives. This location was ideal. Harpers Ferry is gorgeous, especially in October, and this hotel and restaurant are located right in front of this adorable town. The rooms are beautiful, but the owner, chris, is incredibly charismatic and can prepare one delicious breakfast. He even set up tasty hut for us to eat outside, which surpassed my expectations! Chris also has specialized in local culture and is always willing to offer excellent advice on where to go and what to do. Its great to stay here!.
