Really nice hotel with wonderful staff. I actually ended up with food poisoning after eating oysters at the Porto market and when I told the staff at the hotel that I'm not feeling well and that I am a solo travelling female, they noted it down at reception and checked up on me. Also gave me a big bottle of water to make sure I rehydrate. I cannot fault anything. Really lovely hotel, ideal location, wonderful staff and clean comfortable rooms.

The location is excellent, very central but quiet too with plenty of good dining choices within a few minutes walk - one right opposite. The breakfast has everything you need and very generous times, right up to 12 o'clock. The staff were all extremely welcoming. Our 'superior room' on the top/fourth floor had a great view and was perfectly clean with an excellent shower; the hotel generally has a nice feel of a century-old glamour. Obviously, would recommend.

The hotel was excellent , situated on one of Porto’s many steep streets . The staff were friendly and helpful . My single room was very comfortable and perfectly suited my needs . Excellent shower ,( a small problem with the glass shower door was rectified as soon as I reported it - excellent service ! ) The bed (and pillows in particular !) were very comfortable and the room had a full length widow opening onto a small balcony . I used taxis frequently and the staff on reception were very efficient at booking these at short notice . I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel , and would certainly use it again on a return trip to Porto .
