Firstly, I would like to thank Mr. dhakal for great hospitality. Me and my friends were stayed there for 3 days in the month of January and the service was excellent. All the necessary transportation, super market are very near by the hostel. Mr dhakal explained all about the city which helps us to explore the Lisbon city. Thank you so much. Strongly recommended!!

I stayed in 3rd floor family room, it's an attick room, it's cold at night and hot if sunny during the day, the second night it rained inside the room. But before you reach the room you have to climb a set of stairs with a wall smaller than 1m where a kid can easely fall into a 5th floor hole, and clearly not within the safety laws, for a family room this is unacceptable. If your family passed the death trap, you can see theres a window in the room with a view to an amazing elevator motor, and pray to god no one uses the elevator while you sleep, you can also hear everything from the floor below and the flirting of the owner to some girls doing the check-in late night next door, but that's nothing compared to the top right window water drops hitting the floor. Now you're in bed and noticed how cold the room his, you try to turn on heating but unfortunately the radiator in the room is too small to heat the room, so your family might aswell gather 'around the fire' because the thin mattress cant save you from the cold nights in Lisbon. If you cuddle up you probably survived until now, so it's time for a shower, again unfortunately the improvised bathroom has such a small shower, if you weight over 80kg you won't fit inside, I preferred not to shower in there than to have to deal with it. But to make it better there's always the sewer smell that comes from the toilet, so make sure you leave the door closed during all your stay, if you don't want to sleep with that smell all over the room. If you survived by now make sure you can survive the caril smell thats in all the building around meal times, probably cooked by the owners in the first floor. Also in booking its written everything is included in price, but don't be supprised to be asked to pay the hidden municipal tax, the owner doesn't refer to it anywhere, but it will come in your confirmation email after you already payed, I was caught by surprise and so did a group of people checking in, but at that point or you pay or sleep in the street, owner excuse is, everyone pays.. Even if caught by surprise.. Had to call police to ask for complaint book because the hostel owner blantently refused to give me. And with all that wrong with the place, the owner had to courage to say 'you doing this because I'm Indian' when besides being Portuguese I'm married with a foreign woman.. The owner owns a crappy hostel, charges like a 3star hotel and acts like it's a 5* hotel in Dubai.. My kid was scared my wife worried, and the trip  to Portugal somewhat ruined by the experience. I slept in some bad places but was always treated right, this place and people, I wouldn't recommend this, even if the room was 10€ instead of 62€.
