Firstly, the staff were so friendly and helpful - a real credit to the hotel. Garfield House itself was clean and well maintained with spacious reception areas and large, comfortable ensuite bedrooms. The dining room and bar were located away from the rest of the hotel with both good food and drink offerings. The fact that the bar and dining room were tucked away from the other larger reception and function rooms was brilliant as we were able to dine in peace whilst a number of events were taking place in the main areas of the hotel over the weekend. This wasn't a problem at all as it was nice to see people having a wonderful time celebrating at this charming hotel. The soundproofing in the two bedrooms we booked (on different floors) was surprisingly good as we weren't disturbed by any late night revellers or early morning departures. The carpark was spacious and had both steps and a ramp to reception, and the location of the hotel was very convenient for a stay near to the north eastern outskirts of Glasgow, whilst still being within easy reach of the motorway network. I look forward to another stay in the near future.
