The location is excellent, the rooms are spotless, and the breakfast is decent. However, anticipate this shady business practice! Despite making a reservation through another application using prepaid cards to avoid commissions, they demanded cash. I then requested to pay with onsite credit cards, but they claimed their machine wasnt operating and kept your passport hostage until you paid in cash instead.4.8/510 Aug 2024

Aside from the cleanliness of the rooms, what truly makes this hostel so great is the exceptional staff. They genuinely want to make sure you have the best possible experience in vietnam. I would definitely recommend it to anyone, but this review is more about the ha Giang loop organized by them than about that hostel itself. First of all, the loop was fantastic! I had a sleeper bus to go to ha giang. We arrived at 4 am in the morning and were told to enter. The woman there said it was the wrong place. After arranging everything myself, we took cab to the right hostel. Beds were very comfortable and good. I wanted to ride cc 150 motorbike myself. Buffalo hostel never told me this even though i asked about an additional fee. But when he got to reception at ha gigang, people said if u have to pay another 250 m per day for insurance (it is optional). This made me quite angry because buffalo hostelstel never informed me about this. They wrote to me after contacting and choosing to switch to tv which was semiautomatic, they told us they would pay for it because they didnt tell me. It was from qt tours and they did ecstatic work. Their name wasnt on the list and we had to arrange everything ourselves. At least we arrived around 2 am instead of 11.30 pm. In my opinion, it still was fine. On the plus side, ive got o bed for the night and lvet breakfast. Overall, as the group size is not large, so4.8/519 Feb 2024

We stayed for two nights. It was the ideal base for exploring honoi on foot. In the evening, there was a happy hour, free shots, and drinking games led by lysa. Really good vibes, but also chill if you dont plan on partying.4.8/525 Oct 2023

I highly recommend this hostel. This is without a doubt the best hostel ive ever stayed at. We booked our ha giang loop through them and it was the most amazing experience of my trip! Overall, i highly recommend this hostel! This hostel is excellent overall. Every day between 7 and 8 pm, there is free beer available. The staff is friendly and accommodating. It is reasonably priced per night and is close to several small stores. I spent two nights here, from december 30th to decepth 1st, 2023. Unfortunately, they currently have workers drilling and hammering outside until late at night, but if you have earplugs, its fine. If you dont look everywhere, you wont see any of it in the rooms because there are mold in them.4.8/529 May 2023

The hostel is in an excellent location, located in the historic district. The staff provides excellent service. English is the only barrier, and everyone speaks english fluently, save for the front desk. Sim cards are also available at this hostel. They are not required to be purchased at the airport. Additionally, they provide tours of Sapa, Nin bing, halong bay, other cities, as well as ha Long bay. At a reasonable price, you can get airport transfers. I stayed in idl twin bedroom. Overall, i recommend this hostel and will definitely return! Value for the money! I stayed in the female dorm with six beds, and the room is large enough for all of us. The storage locker is adequate. Breakfast is excellent, service staff is very friendly! The location is quite convenient and close to nearby attractions. However, because ive been lucky to stay on the highest floor (7th floor), ill not hear much of the noise coming from the nearby streets.4.6/513 Aug 2024

The rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. The air conditioning in the rooms was perfect. This hostel is really social. They organize many tours. I had a great time staying at this hostel. The location is fantastic! The staff is also excellent, friendly, and ready to assist. Although the bathrooms are tinier than expected, the beds were really comfortable overall. They serve incredibly delicious breakfast and offer swaggari coupons for free beer at the hostel! This was the best hostel we stayed at! The 6shared dorm was well spaced and it didnt feel crowded, and the washroom was also very good. They also have happy hours from 7 to 8 and free breakfast which was really nice. Also, they help arrange tours so you can check at the reception and market is close to the hostel so that was convenient too! They have different activities planned for each day as well which you may participate in. We went bar crawling and thats super fun!.4.6/528 May 2024

We booked a private room for two because dorm type is really not for me. We stayed for 5 days 4 nights and the price is insane! They have the best customer service and location. Breakfast is also good, i had breakfast every day. They offer free beer 7 pm daily which we didnt get to try because we were always out. The only bad thing is the air conditioning but eventually we learned that this is normal in hanoi. It takes time to cool the room and you can only set it to around 25 degrees max. A few airconditioned cafes and their mall, the eon mall are the same. After 2 days we got used to the weather in honshua so it was ok.Popular Facilities
