Great dining every night, nice quiet natural surroundings. Keep the animals in mind. Beautiful horse ranch, with great view of lake garda. The lovely owner has fun experiences with horses, but also in the hotel.

I was very happy at staying here. In June we stayed here for a week and would highly recommend the Scuderia Castillo. First, you should be aware that the lake's stones are not horizontal, just a vertical one. There are hairpin bends on narrow roads where you arrive. Despite not being luxurious, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and we slept very well. From our balcony, we had a stunning view of the lake and really liked it in the late afternoon. Each night, we ate there with local food, and it was delicious and good value. Giovanni often gave us a story about what we were eating and drinking. The personnel worked hard to accommodate my dietary restrictions. We ate with the other guests under the olive trees most nights. It was magical and we made new friends with the other guests. As a rider in my teens, I enjoyed having the horses nearby and watching them. One morning, a trip around the local villages was a treat and I wanted to be up for the more exciting rides others were doing. The horse I rode was excellently trained and responsive. Maps and directions were readily available.

This is the place for nature and horse riding enthusiasts. The location is close to great trails for riding and hiking. Large rooms with breathtaking views of Lake Gardena.

My boyfriend and I have a great experience and can say that all people in this place are very friendly and helpful. I did an interesting two-hour hike which takes you through olive groves, small villages, forests and roads. I really recommend this place.

In conclusion, it appears to be better on the internet than in reality. If you want riding lessons, ask Vivian, she is the only one who knows what she is doing and her English is great. Unfortunately, the whole place seems to be run on a few expenses, but the cost is quite high for what you get if you stay. The lake view is fantastic, and the location appears to be fine, but next time Id rather spend money elsewhere.
