In July 2013, I spent a few days in Amelia. Even though we traveled to Rome and the surrounding area, it was impossible to find better cuisine or service in Italy. We would love to return to this location. Perfect if you want to explore the heart of Italy and witness something unique and unique. I wouldn't suggest it!.

My adult daughter and I were guests for a week at La Gabelletta, and I look forward to returning as soon as I can. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable, the hosts gracious and welcoming, the site mellow and warm, the pool clean and cool. Our blood pressures dropped measurably. We dined splendidly on homemade pastas, crisp, ripe melon with aged prosciutto and wonderful lamb chops off the grill. If you really want to experience Italy, I highly recommend the short trip to Amelia and La Gabelletta--only an hour's train ride from Rome to its simple and elegant pleasures.

We stayed overnight on our drive through Tuscany to Amalfi and loved it so much, we booked it for our return back up north. It's the most well-appointed and comfortable space we stayed in throughout our trip. The rooms are spacious, luxurious, and inviting. And the service even better. It's one of those hidden gems we'll stay at every time.

Love the view of the forest next door - felt fully immersed in the countryside. Was easy to find and staff were supremely helpful. Room was a little cold, but my booking was last minute and it was November, and it warmed up over night. Lovely bathroom and nice, spacious room.

Tasteful, colorful inn that graciously combines medieval and contemporary styles -- our room had a wooden plank ceiling with a beautiful crystal chandelier hanging from it, a bathtub enclosed by elaborate drapes and columns, a big window opening to the pool and backyard, comfortable bed, very clean. Every room is different with interesting designs. The restaurant is well known with delicious food and attracts locals from all over the area. The owner Maria makes sure guests are taken care of--very home and comfortable bed and breakfast atmosphere. There are also suites and apartments at the villa, which located in a beautiful setting of fields and forrests.

On our honeymoon, we stayed here and it exceeded all expectations. The hotel is stunning. We stayed in the Scorpio suite, which has one bedroom, kitchen, sitting room, and upstairs seating area. There was a pool outside catering for this suite and the suite below, making it very private for us. The rooms all have different themes, and the building has undergone extensive renovation work. The rooms were immaculate, and the staff was really friendly. Every night, we ate at the hotel, which was delicious. Its outside the closest town, by about him, so if you enjoy exploring or want to go to the local shops, I would recommend car hire. Just wanted to have vegetables by the pool for a week, which we did, the owner arranged for a driver to pick us up from the airport, which is about 100 km away and costs about 140 by taxi. Again, because we didn't want to see during our vacation, we didn't hire a car. Because of the quality of the venue, food, and staff, I am confident we will return to la gabelletta.

The picture on trip advisor doesn't do justice to the charm, beautiful place, and maria the owner's hospitality. The place is a blend of original farmhouse character and avantgarde design. We plan to return and highly recommend it. If youre a little adventurous, looking for a quiet country setting in the heart of touristy Maria and don't need the Ritzcarlton, this place offers a wonderful and different vacation experience. We were the only Americans here at the time and didn't speak Italian, but we all got along fine. The rooms, suites and apartments are furnished in taste and quirky design. At the beginning of May, my husband and I stayed in the deluxe double room on the second floor, which was considered midseason rates of about $11 per night, including breakfast. We chose the small gemofatown Amelia when we decided to visit Maria this spring because of its proximity to other hill towns we wanted to visit. The michelin rated dining room offers nice selections of locally grown and inventive British cuisine with a grandpa atmosphere. In fact, one of the nights we dined there, there was a private party of around 20 people at the table next to us. Our room with a large operable window overlooking the pool had a wood plank ceiling and elaborate crystal chandelier. The brand new large bathtub had purple and blue light options

What a treat. Sadly, we weren't able to stay here for very long. At our previous stop, we were delayed and didn't make it to the hotel until 10 am. But the staff and owner were extremely accommodating and kind, and on both fronts, the desert and coffee were excellent. We stayed as long as we could until the following day, and if I could I would plan to stay longer the following time. Amelia is a lovely city with plenty to keep you busy spending the day walking, sipping wine, and eating fantastic cuisine. La gaballetta's entire technique was meticulously executed, and we kept turning our heads at the flawless execution of a palace for any couple or vacation in Tuscany.

Mooie kamer, rustig, mooie tuin met zwembad. Heel prettig bijkomen na een dag in de hitte fietsen. Restaurant was lekker maar het leek de bediening een beetje boven het hoofd te groeien. Als je geen haast hebt is dat geen enkel probleem
