Free laundryroom, free coffee/tea even hot chocolate in lobby, alot of variety breakfast, room was clean, tidy and warm. The receptionist was really helpful and friendly.

Pros: - Perfect hotel for introvert as you barely meet another human being. - Hotel interior was actually nice, clean and somehow lavish enough (considering the price). - The room was clean and spacious. They provided plenty of towels. Their amenities was great (coffee maker with 2 different options of coffee pots, water heater, teas). Lots of storages. Hot water works perfectly fine. - There is a luggage room storage to store bags before checking in or after checking out. Cons: - We booked via third-party app 1 month prior to our trip. We send emails (twice!) confirming our reservation, but the hotel never responded. - When we arrive, as expected, there was no staff or nothing greet us or showed us how to get to our room. Fortunately there was another guest at the lobby, and she told us that we should receive an emails with access codes and room details by the time we made our reservation. We then call the hotline, and thankfully they responded promptly. - Low wifi signal, and the heater does not work in our room. But this was not a serious issue though, as we have internet data and the room is warm enough. Would give a 5-star review if there were no issue on our check in, but overall it was a nice stay!

Yes.. Saya pasti akan kembali lagi ke Igdlo guesthouse jika ke reykjavik. Dapur mini nya juga oke, hanya saja memang tdk boleh menggoreng. Tp rebus2 sdh cukup utk bs makan dan minum. Luar biasa... Di bangunan saya hanya ada 1 kmr mandi utk 5 kamar. Jd mesti bangun lbh pagi aja utk mandi. Selebihnya mantap..

Puas nginap di igdlo. Parkir gratis, relatif dekat ke pusat kota, kamar ada penghangat yg bisa dipake sekalian utk jemur baju. Kamarpun cukup luas.. Guesthouse idaman.. Kalo ke reykjavik saya pasti kesini lagi.

I stayed here for four nights only because I had a positive covid test on the day before my planned return flight to the US. I felt fortunate that this place met my needs for five days prior to the arrival of my return flight, and the location was close to the bsi terminal. I felt relieved to find a place to stay for a few nights that was less expensive than other lodgings in needing to quickly locate one. Sadly, there were just too many drawbacks for me to ignore. Make it clear, though, that I am not picky about sleeping accommodations. A roof over my head and an outhouse are luxury for me when I travel in the wilderness when hiking. I knew this place had shared bathrooms, but figured it out correctly, I must say that it wouldn't be a problem. First, the disadvantages. A good location in a quiet neighborhood at a reasonable price. Warm, comfortable mattresses. Rooms are very clean, with all the common areas. Excellent wifi. I didn't get lost attempting to check out until after noon, but I could not see the sign. I had just checked out because there weren't any directions on how to use it. There was no dial indicating the location, so I couldn't see it in my room. There was no way for more than two people to go over each other because the paint on the white table

I recently returned from a wonderful trip with my teenage son at the Reykjavik edition. The location couldn't be better, we strolled throughout the city center and marina. We also were near shuttle and tour pick-up locations. The hotel and the tides restaurant's service was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The beds were very comfortable, and the room had everything we could have wanted. The breakfast buffet was also excellent. A wonderful experience!.

The advantage of this place is the wonderful room with a huge bed. Despite the fact that there are only 5 types of bread, pastries, fruit, cold meat, and cereal in the breakfast menu, I believe that it's not very good. As you might expect, the meal is served all day, even a subpar barroom service menu.

I stayed here on New Year's Day and so paid a high price for one night. However, it was to be expected in iceland and on such a popular day. I received an email with a door code the day before my arrival. If I hadn't ordered a direct transfer from the airport, I don't think the hostel would have been so easy to find. The rooms were clean, but it wasn't marked clearly, so I didn't know which was only female, etc. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was really warm. The bed had a plug, a reading light, and privacy curtains. There were only two showers, but they were clean. I didn't use the kitchen, but it appeared clean and well prepared.

Worst experience ever. I had reserved a room with one bed but received one with four single beds and less troll blankets. I told the house's proprietors, and they told me if we could push the beds together. The shower and toilet shared ten other guests. The room was extremely warm, but the humidity and cold poured directly on our heads, so we covered the windows with a blanket. There is no soundproofing in the house, and visitors could walk and come as elephants all night long. Breakfast options were very limited and for two mornings there was barely anything left and no one replaced it until about 9. 30. Some of the staff was unfriendly, but one very generously assisted us with the bus ticket to the airport. We had poor quality for a small budget, a great location.

I wouldn't hesitate to suggest this hostel to anyone who prefers to walk the distance or take a bus into the city center. Excellent hostel providing good value for money, however, like other critics have noted, it's a pleasant 45-hour walk from the city center! There are buses, which I gladly walked to and from each day without a problem. Since Reykjavik isn't an expansive city, getting from one end to the other is not an epic affair, depending entirely on your physical strength. Since the roadways are paved pedestriancycle paths that are separate from the main roads, the approach was quite pleasant and safe. Additionally, if you book tours with Gray Line Great Company!, their bus depot is a 20-minute walk away. I stayed in the female dorm for three nights, which I reserved as a four-bed dorm but turned out to have 13 beds in total. The roommates were wonderful, and noise never was a problem. There is a main road out the window that is too loud for light sleepers, but no one in my dorm complained as did others in my dorm. There are also a couple of individual shower rooms, one for men and another for women. Each bunk contains a bathroom with a toilet and sink in the same area, and the other serves as a shower. Overall, I was happy with my stay. The showers are not particularly functional but the spa tubs are nice. There is construction so we were awakened to jackhammers every morning, so not very restful or relaxing. Parking is good not far from the city center.

It is the ideal small hostel of its kind, adequate for all your needs, aside from the bathroom's odor, hostel's location, and lack of clear towels to use. If you travel alone or are traveling with a group on a budget, The Be hostel is a wonderful little haven. The hostel selfchecks in with emailed codes for the doors. The kitchen and social space are spotless and tidy, which was a nice change. Beds were all spotless, with spotless bedding, and beds had distinct curtains for added privacy. There is also a female only room with 10 bunk beds. If you don't have a vehicle, it can be difficult to get into the heart of the hostel because it is out of the way. Bus stops and supermarkets are nearby, which somewhat accounts for the location of the hostel. I had a private room because I was the only one in my dorm while I was there. There are a lot of toilets and showers in the hostel that are kept reasonably clean, but did smell while I was there. Also, the kitchen has a variety of amenities available to all hostel guests, such as milk.

In Reykjavik, this hotel is the place to stay! Because they did misplace our luggage, I only awarded it 4 stars, but it was discovered after 2 12 hours. The breakfast buffet and dinner were excellent, the staff was welcoming. In the lobby was a bowl of chocolates and another bowl of cookies. Since the candy bowl was empty, I picked it up from the gentleman receptionist and informed him that I would be leaving in two minutes, but I didn't receive any candy! Of course, we are teasing him! This guy told me I must remain so he would go grab some for me. I really had to leave before he came back, and he ran outside to my tour bus to get some candy. That reflects the quality of service you will receive at this hotel! And, the chocolates are fantastic! The pillows are luxurious and soft, and the mattresses are very soft. We had a wonderful time here!.

The hotel is very central. Close to bus stop 5 from the airport. You are right next door to the harp so try to catch a performance. The room has all the necessities. Fridge, mini bar, iron, god the hairdryer! Safe, robes and slippers. Definitely a great hotel, will come back. A gorgeous hotel. We walked in on a very cold day to a beautiful warm and cozy lobby, and were greeted with a speciality drink and a nice latte for my teenage son. The staff were all exceptional, friendly, and helpful. Our harbour view room was light and had the most amazing view. Everything feels modern, upmarket, and relaxing. We ate at the restaurant tides and it was very nice, again the restaurant team couldn't have been more attentive.

Our expectations were exceeded by the welcome on arrival, the comfort and design of our room, free coffee at the reception, and helpful advice on how to get around Reykjavik. Excellent location for bus trips to the city hall and boat trips to the harbor.

Excellent breakfast, very central, and excellent shower bed heating. This hotel is recommended near Bus Stop 9, where most of your buses stop. A great stay for all of you.
