Its close to the National Park and a fantastic place to visit. I tucked away after the bus dropped us off about 500 yards from the gate, thinking what I had done. It has a 500-yard walk-in process, but thats where my fears were resolved. The proprietor was returned to Italy and I didnt get to meet him at the store. Security was a top concern, and the crew was a young couple. Although I am not an Olympic swimmer, the pool is small at the grocery and butcher shop are both conveniently located. Besides that, there is a few evening life nearby and the public beach. We had a great time and were friendly with our neighbors. The beer was kept cold in the refrigerator. The mermaid is a great location to discover, and its not far from the national park.

I had high hopes for costa rich, but after reading the excellent evaluations and the misleading website, I was very disappointed. I've always had positive experiences with TripAdvisor reviews, so I'm completely clueless. On a few points, the website is inconvenient. It claims that all rooms have patios, whereas two don't. It also mentions lush tropical gardens, and while this may be a little subjective, the only thing closest to a garden is a three-foot wide strip of common vegetation along the pathway in front of the rooms. Calling it a lush garden is quite a stretch. The apartment we had reserved had a tired, lumpy futon couch covered with a bed sheet!, an old threadbare bedspread, a huge rusted area on the fridge, etc. For the first three of the five nights we had reserved, we were able to upgrade to a different room. Due to having a balcony overlooking the ocean, a better couch and bedspread, and a newer fridge, it was still generally shabby and in desperate need of renovation. I do not blame the couple who owns this location because they maintain it neat and serve a nice breakfast. They probably have little or no influence on what the owner decides about upgrades. We were given two rooms on the ground floor for a week at the end of September. The rooms are not fancy but are definitely better than adequate. The staff was very friendly and willing to help. You can't get closer to the beach. You leave the hotel gates and go to the sand.

What can I say, this is my second stay of the month, and I will return. The management is fantastic and always willing to meet your requirements. Great oceanfront pool, delicious breakfast ask for an upgrade for a small fee and youll get a Costa Rican breakfast, otherwise, youll get a continental breakfast. Nice rooms with full kitchen facilities and cold air conditioning. My 4 year old loves this place.

This hotel has the chance to be located on the Playa de Esterillos Est in front of the best surfing spot. We spent here for seven days in a newly refurbished and clean apartment on the ground floor with excellent climatization, a comfortable bed, a hot shower, wifi, and so on. Excellent breakfast, nice and helpful staff. A positive quality-price ratio.
